Winter 2021 New Products - inspiration part 6

 Hello friends,

During last week we have shown you lots of projects with new products. We hope you feel inspired enough to start your own projects. But we still have a few project left, so we keep inspiring you :)

Hi everyone! In this project I've combine different types of new Finnabair product - Jewel Effect Pastes, Chipboard, Matte waxes, new Mould and metal flowers.

I've applied jewel effect paste Diamond Rings through the stencil Swirly Florals on base, covered it up with gesso and then distressed all surface with sandpaper. I've got interesting results, the paste doesn't shine brightly, but shimmers delicately.

I've applied Shabby Rose matte wax on stars and then I also covered them with Diamond Rings paste. I've played with different mixes of pastes and waxes on various surfaces and it was very interesting to explore how new materials interact with each other.

New Products:

Jewel Effect Paste: Rose Quartz, Diamond Rings
Imaginarium Moulds: Vintage Portraits
Decorative Chipboard: Steampunk Wreath
Matte Wax: Shabby Pink, French Lavender
Mechanicals: Metal Blooms

Madonna

The new Vintage Portraits mould was perfect for creating a tiny Madonna, and with the new Nocturnal Elements and Jewel Pastes, a night sky background was easy to create. Even a halo was easy to make, using the new Machine Parts mould.

The composition is made on a cardboard piece, cut out from a cardboard box, and it’s only 10cm in size, small enough to fit into palm.

I arranged my composition using Heavy Body Gel to attach everything, and after it had dried, primed the clay motives with Heavy Gesso.

Next, I painted my tiny composition using Liquid Acrylics Prussian Blue, titanium White, Ink Black, and Burnt Sienna. Then I added a layer of Jewel Pastes Blue Opals, Diamond Rings, and Sparkling Onyx. As a final toucj, I added some warm glow with waxes Vintage Gold, Vintage Silk, and White Pearl.

And there it was, a tiny Madonna of the Night.

Heart

Hi everyone,
I'm impressed with the new edition of Finnabair products. They delight with design and diversity. I love to use different molds in my projects, so I was very happy when I saw how many new designs appeared in the offer. I decided to decorate the base in the shape of a heart, for which I used one of the new moulds - the frame. New chipboard, but also metal flower accessories are perfect for it. They look beautiful !!

After securing the surface with white gesso, I applied the texture paste and after drying it, I started to arrange the composition using practically only new products. After sticking all the accessories, I painted the whole with white gesso and gently painted it with liquid acrylic paints. Then I whitened the whole project and started playing with waxes in beautiful new shades. They combine beautifully with each other giving new shades. This is how a romantic heart was created just in time for Valentine's Day;))
Hugs,

Queen of butterflies

Hello everyone!
If you ask me which shape in the new moulds is my favorite I can tell you in a heartbeat – this frame.
It`s just magnificent!

I used number  stamps from Re-design “Stripes” set  with the new Gilding Glue and when it turned tacky I put some Metallic Flakes in Gold on top. I painted the frame with Black Heavy Gesso and glued it in the center of my canvas. Then I made some splatters  with Purple Liquid Acrylic. The rest was made with the new Matte Waxes in Shabby Pink, French Lavender and Faded Denim. Only the face and the neck of the woman were highlighted with White Pearl Wax.

This canvas turned out exactly how I imagine it and in the same time so different than my usual style, in my opinion.
As advice, be prepared to love the new waxes! Their pastel colors are simply irresistible.
