Adventure Awaits by Judith Tijsen

Hello everyone. Welcome to my first post for the new Finnabair Creative Team.

My name is Judith Tijsen, and I live in the Netherlands. It's so exciting to be writing my first post for you and hopefully providing you with lots of great inspiration. Perhaps many of you are familiar with my creations.

You'll undoubtedly know that I always love lots of color in my creations, and the creation in my first post is no exception.

The base of my project is a 30 cm round hdf board. I decorated this with a stencil, crackle paste, and metallic acrylic paints. On top of this is a smaller base using the same technique. I decorated this whole thing with lots of resin elements, colored with various acrylic paints and waxes. I hope I've been able to inspire you with my project.

You can see the details, the composition, the materials and the techniques that I have used in this video tutorial.

Dream On – Mixed Media Canvas by Margarita Shkludova

Hello, creative friends! Margarita Shkludova here.

Today I want to share a new canvas that speaks of night dreams and quiet wonder.

This piece is all about drifting into a dreamworld — where stars shimmer, time slows down, and your thoughts float freely. I created a magical atmosphere with rich shades of blue, layered textures, and soft metallic accents.

One of my favorite touches here is the metallic flakes in Gold by Finnabair. They add such beautiful, irregular shine — like stardust scattered across the night sky. Perfect for highlighting celestial elements and giving the whole piece a luminous finish.

Sometimes your art just wants to dream, too.

See you soon!

Life is Electric by Lori Woods

Hello creative friends! Sometimes we get so caught up in wanting our projects to be perfect, to have the correct composition, the right colour palette, we forget that art should be enjoyable to make. It should be fun!

I started by stencilling the background and painting the base white. I then built up a composition with moulds and elements until I had a nice arrangement across the centre and gessod this. I gathered some bright, fun paints colours and then just splashed some colour around!

To create some shadows I used a purple acrylic paint to keep in with the colourful theme and highlighted some areas with a bright wax.

I then finished the project off by adding some extra bits and pieces to the composition with a few splatters of bright paint. I hope this project inspires you to let your creative side loose and just have some fun!
