Strange & Unusual by Lori Woods

 Hello creative friends!

For my latest project I wanted to make something completely different. I had an old Halloween decoration on my desk and decided to turn it into a slightly creepy but sparkly frog!

I started by covering the body with some scraps of decoupage fiber to create a solid base. I painted the legs and head with Sparks paint to give a base coat of colour.  I spread effect pastes onto a plastic sheet and peeled these off when dry. These create great flexible media that can be cut into any shape you like. I cut lots of circles out to imitate scales and then glued these across the body.

For the base I used modelling paste to create texture and added air dry clay leaves that I bent into shape when they were still flexible. I coloured everything with paint and finished off with some wax to create a contrast.

Vintage wooden box by Kasia Salmanowicz

 Hello!

I always love using papers from the Butterfly Effect collection by Finnabair and 7 Dots Studio. They fit my style perfectly, making the creative process a real pleasure.

This time, I’ve decorated the lid of a flat wooden box. The base is a sheet from the Butterfly Effect collection, complemented by pre-cut elements from two new sets that come together to form a beautiful composition.

I also added driftwood sticks, lace scraps, HDF elements, and paper flowers from Prima. I arranged all the decorations to create a dimensional look, giving the project depth and an interesting structure. Finally, I lightly whitewashed the piece and finished it off with Art Stones, which added extra texture to the composition.

If you’d like to see the step-by-step creation process, I invite you to watch the video tutorial I prepared. The video is available on the Finnabair YouTube channel.

Enjoy the video, and see you next time for more inspiration!

Have a nice day,

Kasia Salmanowicz

Create what you need - Judith Tijsen

 Hi everyone.

Today I get to show you my first project using the items from the new release. I had so much fun making this creation. There is nothing more enjoyable than using the very latest items while waiting to see how the creation turns out.

The canvas I used measures 20 x 40 centimeters, so I could fit a lot on it. I first covered it with the beautiful A3 decoupage fiber paper Southampton Butterflies. Next, using a stencil from the Victorian Tiles set with Effect Paste Dragonlight, Sunrise Enchanted Pearl. To create a beautiful glossy finish, I finished the canvas with the Golden Dragon Effect Paste.

You can see the details, the composition, the materials and the techniques that I have used in this video tutorial.
