Trash to Treasure - Join the Recycling Challenge

Hi Creative Friends!
Are you ready to do something CREATIVE and FUN? Great news, because we have a challenge for you! Together with Prima we've pulled together a whole bundle of inspirational posts, videos and Live streams to make your creative juices flow... and there is a giveaway too!
So, are you ready?

How does it work? It is very simple!
The challenge is to use any Prima or Finnabair packaging to create a recycled mixed-media project! You can use as many jars, lids, blisters and boxes as you want - the sky is the limit - in fact  - the more Prima + Finnabair, the better!
Your next step is to use one of our hashtags when you post on Facebook and/or Instagram so we can find you! Finnabair and Prima will each pick one winner for the $100 retail value prize! (Packaging must be visible on the project.) Deadline for all the entries is 1st of May 2020, so you have pleanty of time to create and you can more than 1 project!

Do you need some inspiration?
Here it goes!

Hello friends! I’ve decided to create a table set with a clock and a Notes holder.

To build the set I grabbed large Finnabair-Prima White gesso and Soft Glossy gel jars, without the lid, Soft Matte gel jar with the lid and small metalique wax package tag.

In the recycling process, I used many Finnabair-Prima products like mechanicals, mould pieces, tissue paper and more. The lid of the Soft Matte gel was made to a clock leaving it loose (not glued) to enable the Clock battery replacing.

When I finished working on the jars, I attached them to a piece of wood to make it stable enough for long term usage.
You will be able to watch the process in a few days – stay tuned!
Xoxo

I like to use different packaging. For this work, I took a beautiful package from metal embellishments. Painted it with the Liquid Acrylic Burnt Sienna. And it became the base of my project.

I added some Rust Paste and combined the decor with the background. Wax Vintage gold put the finishing touches.

Recycling is one of my favorite theme. Altered art based on giving a second life to objects. Very often I discover their completely different faces. This time our theme is product packaging, which gives us endless possibilities.

As my base, I used plastic packaging. After covering with gesso, even plastic will easily accept all media and paints. All my composition is also made of recycled elements. There are many resin and chipboard things, that come from some unsuccessful or unfinished projects. I usually don't throw away such components because they can be useful in a different way. Between the layers of the artwork, you can also find cardboard from the packaging.

To unify all these elements I used gesso and liquid acrylic paints. Finished with silver wax to enhance resin details and all textures.

I hope that you’ll inspired and think about this plastic and cardboard packaging not as a trash but as a base to an excellent and new project.

Hello!
My project is a kind of recycling, because instead of throwing away some things, we can still have a lot of creative fun with them. Do you know what this is?

This challenge motivated me to altered the Finnabair wax package! You probably have a lot of them in your craft rooms ;)

I used basic medium here such as gesso and heavy body gel, and some of the additions. You will find here mould elements, art stones, cabochons and metal embellishments.
All this combined with liquid acrylic paints and beautiful wax colors.

But this is not all! Stay tuned for days of inspiration coming - videos, Live Shows and Streams are coming! First of all check this YouTube Live Stream I've made for you - to show how I've made this quite cool project!

Sending love your way
