Strength and tenderness by Olga Ravenskaya

Hi dear friends!

It’s Olga Ravenskaya here today with my new project and video tutorial.

My new project is about strength and tenderness at the same time and I wanted to show it using beautiful Finnabair Studio acrylic paints and Mica powders – all in the shades of yellow and grey.

Firstly I’ve made a background for my wooden lace heart base. I’ve used a mix of White and Black gesso and then a mix of Lemon Peel Impasto, Snow White Impasto with Pure Sunshine Metallique paint and White gesso.

I’ve added a pattern through Iris Tapestry stencil using a sponge with Snow White Impasto mixed with yellow mica powder.

Next step I applied Frosty Pearl Icing paste mixed with a grey mica powder using Read My Letter stencil. And then added stamping and splashes with Ink Black Liquid Acrylic.

To give a beautiful shimmer to all the surface I’ve sprinkled over it with grey and yellow mica powders, added a bit of water and dried.

I painted the upper lace part of the heart base with Silver Spoon Metallique paint mixed with a touch of Dragon’s Eye Sparks.

I’ve painted all the moulds and metal embellishments with Impasto paints and then with Liquid Acrylics in yellow and grey shades. I’ve used White and Charcoal Art Sugar to make sparkling accents.

As a final touch I’ve added glass glitter and pearls.

Here is my step-by-step video, hoping you’ll enjoy it!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Olga

Absolutely stunning! So out of my league, but I would love to learn the technique. May I ask where you got the ballet dancer?

Beautiful! Out of my league, but I would like to begin trying to do it. Can you tell me where you found the ballet dancer?
