Time for Giveaway: Opal Magic Mica Powders!

Hi again my dear friends!
It is such a busy time for me now: as my life is all between travelling, getting ready for the classes, working on samples and... one more important thing which may finally happen after long months of waiting and stressing (exciting change for me and Andrew - but I can't tell more yet as we don't want to give a chance to bad luck ;)). I just believe nothing ever in my life will be as people usually have it: I'm constantly on the go, sailing from one shore to another on a changing wind... and I'm so blessed I'm able to do it!
Let me say it in simple words: I'm able to have my crazy life as it is thanks to you all - my students and my followers. You  made it all happen showing me support, love, and trust which is the best fuel not only for me but also for my Creative Team - they all love seeing you coming to this blog, FB Page and Instagram - and they are thrilled to see you visiting their private blogs too - thank you so much for that!

I was wondering what would be the good way to show some gratefulness... and then I had this moment of enlightenment - GIVEAWAY of course! Last week I was posting Technique Video about Art Ingredients Opal Magic Mica Powders - so wouldn't that be a good idea to give you a chance to win a set now?

OK, so how to take part in the Blog Giveaway and have a chance to be a lucky winner getting all of my products you can see on the picture above?

I'd like you to check my You Tube Channel here, watch the video about Opal Magic Mica Powders and let me know in the coment below this post which way of using them you like the most?
If you like the content - how about subscribing to it? Hm?
I will randomly pick the winner on Tuesday night, after midnight of my local time and the name will be announced in the Wednesday blogpost, on 28th October 2015. Good luck!

P.S.
In this place I'd like also to send huge thanks to my Creative Team Members and CT Coordinator: you are the best support, source of inspiration and overflowing talent. You are everything I could dream of and as I know I don't tell you that enough: you are so appreciated. I'm grateful for the moment when I met you all and I'm so thrilled we are working on this team together. I believe in every single one of you - and I hope you believe in me. I wish you all the best and I can't wait for the next year of this crazy ride with you all!
Sending you ALL warmest hugs and waiting to read your Giveaway answers

Anita Utheim Hansdatter said...

I like to use mica in mix media projects and on cards .
The best part is that they can mixes in both spray and gel medium, and they do not mix into a brown substans if you use more than 1 coller

Emma said...

Hi, i'd love to enter the contest!!
The only way i've ever really used the Mica powders in art is by brushing them on dry; but I am so excited to try out the spray version! I'd never thought about creating my own perfect colours by mixing them by myself - and these colours you are showing in the video are just stunning!!
Another way I enjoy using the mica powders is by mixing a small amount with some lipgloss - it can create the most beautiful shimmering lipgloss colours that i'm not able to find in stores!

Take care!

Oh Anna...I love all the techniques with these products, but I think my best is mixing Opal Magic Mica Powders with Art Basics Soft Gel.
I have done it with my favorite Rust Mica Powder and the result was amazing!!!

jezebel said...

Never knew you could mix them with souvh stuff. I have been mixing the coloredica powders with gels and pastes and sprinkling on hot EP and I love it all. I have not yet made my own spray yet, that's next... My fave so far I think is gel - heavy gel and leaving peaks and texture. That enhances the colors even more. Love the colored mica powders and can't wait to try the opal powders!!!

Soft gloss gel and Opal Magic is delightful:) I would LOVE to win the Opal Magic Mica Powders and experiment some more. The powders really bring your projects to the next level. One question though: why are all the Opal Magic Mica Powders white in the jar???? Just curious:) Great video Anna:)

The mica powders are gorgeous effects for any journaling/card making/etc, ideas. Though I love all the ideas, and can see them all being used to great effectiveness, I think my favorite is the sprays and how it just blends on the dark paper (or black gesso) to create such shimmer. Then, I also liked the Gel Medium use as a paint. Oh, and I can't forget the embossing. Hmm, well, maybe I can't actually pick a favorite as they are all great ideas.

Thank you for your great videos and ideas to help inspire others. And congratulations

LaChelle Shown said...

I had no idea it was so versatile. I love the adding it to water and using as a spray. I also want to try brushing it on after embossing, that is such a beautiful effect!

Mireille said...

I like the mica powders on every black surface you show, especially on the black gessoed relic ornement. Gorgeous!!!

Laure Janus ~ Little Joys Studio said...

First off, thank you for making the tutorial. I never would have come up with all those ideas on my own. I guess my favorite technique is to mix the power with the soft gel medium to create paint. Genius! I can't wait to get my hands on all of them, my painty fingers are crossed.

Mel- said...

Mixed with gel medium over black gesso. LOVE!

Ana said...

Anna, As you don't say more I only can imagine your "really great change" in your life. But whatever it may be I cross my fingers very strong for Andrews and you.

About Mica powders for me the best results are on dark surface, you use it with gel medium, I use it a little differently, but... on dark surface it's explosive.

I use mica powder since long long time, now I use yours and they are A MUST HAVE for me. thank you for those so original coulours.

langeatheart said...

I just want to own one of everything you used!!! I want to get messy! It's so hard to pick but I have to admit that when you mixed the mica powder and water and made that gorgeous iridescent mist and then sprayed it on black? that purple made my eye light up like a Christmas tree!! Thank-you for making such wonderful products!

Ilana Polakiewicz said...

Finn, your products are so versatile! You can mix them with a lot of materials. My favorite is the mixture with gel medium. I like to apply layer after layer in all kinds of material and decide when to stop. It is pure fun.

I saw your video and I actually put these opals down on my list to get. I also was inspired by the paint brush one of your team just did. I like to use it best in gel medium to spread on backgrounds, but I'm looking at how else I can use it after seeing your video. I would love to win these.

Kathleen White said...

First I love the background music! Now as to which is my favorite way to use it. Well that is hard to say since I believe I would really like to tryout as many techniques as possible. I like the fact that you can use them on embossing and mixing into modeling paste. They would be my first experiments. I love your products! So very creative.

I love the way it shimmered purple on your hand right at the beginning like a butterflies wing. I can't wait to experiment with this stuff. I liked the way it looked on the black items the most as it shows up more. Though the subtle shimmer it gave on the white items and paper is just so soft and beautiful. The versatility of this powder is mind blowing! Please bring some with you next week to South Africa!

I loved what I saw done with those mica powders and I'd just love to win this give-away. Thanks for the inspirations.

My favourite techniques for the Mica powder is mixing them with light paste and applying with a stencil on my layouts (LOVE light paste by the way, it is almost like somekind of mousse and therefore so perfect for blending), and I like drubrushing mica powders (mixed with soft gloss gel) for my mixed media projects.

The opal magics are really MAGICAL....Thank you for sharing this great video!

I love mixing mica powders with gel medium to get a lovely shimmery glossy finish. I love everything! But what I like is mica powder into 3D gloss gel :) is beautiful!!

WoW!!! Another wonderful product for us to play with. I originally thought I liked mixing the Opal Magic Mica Powders with the Art Basics Light Paste but then when you used them mixed with Water to create a spray, that was awesome. The one I would liked the best though was mixing the mica powder with the gel and brushing on the dark surfaces the BEST!!. Thank you so much for the inspiration.

Mandy said...

That's a lovely thing to say and remember. I love making sprays with the powders, nothing is safe from altering in the house creativel, even the doggies run and hide when they see me with the spray bottles

I love ALL the ways to use these! They combine two of my favorite elemnets...opal and metallic!! Better than diamonds in my opinion~ My favorite way is the dry brushing but I will have to try them all because we all need more Magical in our lives!!! Thanks for sharing and the metals look like so much fun!!! Fingers crossed!!

I actually watched this video the other day because I have some of this magic product 😉.
I will probably use it on darker products, although in person light projects probably give super great shine.
I know I will add to 3d medium gel for sure and make a spray. I don't know - I will try all of it.

My favorite recipe with mica powder is with 3D gloss gel !!

I love the look of the Mica Powder on dark backgrounds the BEST! WOW, how it made it pop. I love the ability for the multi-use in multi-based products.
I just ordered the Blue and am excited to try it out. I would love to win the give-away. All the products are so great to work with.

I love using them in water as sprays but I am going to add them to my translucent gel and UTEE to get different effects. I can see so many more possibilities since watching your video....thanks for expanding my creativity!

I love your youtube videos, they give me so much confidence & inspire me. The possibilities with your products are endless! I love everything you showed. I love that you show the results of the same mix recipie on both light & dark surfaces. I love the haunting enchantment of the mica powders giving light to the dark surfaces. It sings to me. The iridescence gives me a heART & soul sparkle. I love re using my empty jars & misting spray bottles to mix your products. Good tip on gesso first & sealing your work with the gel varnish or spray fixative.

I have done all of these techniques with other mica powders but, none as beautiful as yours! Have to say my favorite is the hot embossing.

It was a magical video. I enjoyed looking at all the techniques and My favorite is the embossing one. the butterflies were just gorgeous and I would love to try this.

The gloss gel technique takes the embellishments to a new level. The comparison on dark vs. light backgrounds was helpful.

Now I have a new product to add to my growing list of products in your line that I have not been able to try. I love all of your products and appreciate you taking the time to share so many techniques with us through your videos. I think I would probably use them powders with gel the most but I am dying to try them with some ice resin.

I love to see your and your team's works, they really inspire me to try new things. I just started with mixed media and I love it! Those new powders really give some magic to dark backgrounds! I would mix it with Light paste, because I looove that paste. :D I would also like to try that stuff with polymer clay and make nice decorations for my projects.

In watching the video this looks like a very fun product to use in so many ways! I think I liked where you added it to the water & sprayed it & also mixed with the soft gel! Those seemed to have the brightest results, which I liked!

I thought my favorite was going to be adding the Opal mica to water for sprays. They make beautifully adaptable sprays for flowers and backgrounds. But then along came the bonding powder and heat embossing! Stunning effects! I bet the heat embossed looks gorgeous on dark card stock as shown earlier in other projects!
Fantastic new product! Will I never have any money?
Thank you - Julie

Holy smoke what an awesome giveaway! It is so long between every time i get to win something, so i`m crossing both my fingers and toes, lol.

Love the look if the mica blended with 3d gloss gel and put on the black gessoed card stock. Loooove how the irredecent look pops on the black background.

I was soooo sad that i missed your class at Trøndersaksa last year. Hope you come back someday. Love your work and your products.

I really enjoyed the video and did subscribe to your channel. I had been interested in using mica powders but was not sure exactly how to use them so the video really helped. I especially like mixing it with modeling paste and using it on a stencil but can see using multiple methods in the near future.

Wow, Finn! I just love the way these new Mica powders look! My personal favourite is the mix of Soft Gloss gel and Mica using the brush to apply! It looks just as wonderful on white embellishments as on black! And the fact that it's 100% permanent is just great!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to win all these goodies!!

Big hug, Hege

I have been a fan of you and your teams for a long time. Since texture, texture, texture is high on my list of favorites adding mica to gesso is the way I use it almost all of the time. However, after watching the video on your blog, I want to try it everyway I can. Thank you for all of the hints we receive from your teams and from you too.

Wow! I was amazed! The video is fantastic. So many ways to use the powders and experimenting would be fun. I do mixed media canvas so I think mixing the powders with either modeling paste or gel medium would be a plus for me. I also work with polymer clays and boy would that metallic be great on my pieces! I cannot use the fixative sprays but would try hair spray as that is what I use when I use pastels. Keep up the good work. Loved the video!

Wonderful video. Very instructive and I loved seeing the exciting results of each technique. I saw two techniques that I would use right away - the heat embossing and the spray, but later I would love to try using it with the gel.

Your video was fabulous and I have been lucky enough to see you use the opal powders at a craft retreat recently.
There are so many ways to use the powders and they all make such fabulous results. I love.mixing them with modelling paste to put through a stencil, but I have to say my favourite way is to make them into a spray.
The end result of the spraying is phenomenal, especially when you layer the colours up. I love them! Fingers crossed I win.
Good look everyone X
