Natural style notebook cover by Kasia Salmanowicz

Hello,

My new project  is in a style that I like very much. Lots of natural elements, dry sticks, pieces of bark, burlap, some lace and cotton fabric. Everything in shades of brown with the addition of white. But let's start at the beginning.

I chose a notebook as the base for my project. I decided to decorate its cover by sticking an extra layer of paper. At first I used one of the new Finnabair stencils in combination with a white paste. This color of paste on craft paper has a great contrast and looks very nice.

I covered this paper with Clear Gesso and dried it. Later I started sticking fabrics. For gluing the entire project, I chose Heavy Body Gel and 3D Matt Gel. I used them alternately depending on what additives I was sticking on. I also added decorative HDF accessories and metal embellishments from Finnabair. I love these new flowers designed by Finn;)

I had to thoroughly dry the resulting layered composition so that all elements would stick. Then I whitened the whole project with white gesso in combination with water. The result is delicate stains, most of which are in the focal point of the composition.

Finally, I added a ribbon that closes the notebook nicely and creates a cute bow.

Have a nice day,

Kasia Salmanowicz
