Altered jewellery box by Bipasha

Hello wonderful crafters,
Today I am going to share with you a very exciting project - an altered jewellery box! I used some colours outside of my comfort zone and absolutely love the outcome! It is a vintage themed project and the beautiful Finnabair shades of brown, red and magenta suited my requirements.

Initially, I randomly dry brushed the box. Then, I added a stenciled layer with Light paste and dried it thoroughly. Next, I created the composition with assorted moulds, metal embellishments layered, art stones to fill the gaps and adhered using 3D matte gel. I love the way it holds the dimensional elements strongly.

Finally, I added some colours of Liquid acrylic and diluted it inbetween for blending everything together. I added some waxes, glitters, beads to highlight my elements.
The possibilities of these mediums, embellishments and pastes when combined, are limitless. I hope you are inspired to create your own shabby chic altered artpiece with these beautiful paints and textured pastes, that becomes an outlet to your emotions.

Here is a video recording of the process. Hope you are inspired to create your own memory keepsake cover!

Dare to dream mixed media tags by Aleksandra Mihelič

Hi dear Finnabair friends and fans,

Do you love to play with little treasures from nature and include them in your art projects? I love to use them on my projects. They are so versatile and they give such an amazing texture and touch to all mixed media projects. I used quite some of them on my next project I prepared for you today - my mixed media Tag "Dare to Dream"..,

I used dried tree lichen on my background and I also used some dry flowers. In combination with various Finnabair mechanicals they give perfect result, don't you think?

I also prepared a video tutorial for you to follow along and make your own Treasure from Nature:

I hope you enjoyed my inspiration today.
Enjoy your day and see you soon!

Hugs, Aleksandra

Secret messages by Olga Bielska

Hello my creative friends! Olga Bielska here :)
Today I'd like to share with you my brand new inspiration - a mixed media canvas with lovely amazing Finnabair's products!

I started my work with the application of Plaster Paste through a stencil on canvas.

Then Art Alchemy Paints mixed with water and spread on canvas.

After drying, I glued paper and gauze. I painted them before I added gesso white.
Then I added some stamps. I painted Cardboard elements with Impasto Paint.

To create this composition, I used chipboard pieces, resin casts, paper elements and metal embellishments. Finnaabir Heavy Body Gel helped me to stick them all.

Finally, I highlighted the details with wax and gesso white splashes.

I really hope that I was able to inspire you!
Have a great day, Olga.
