Festive altered packaging by Anastasia Korvyakova

Hello dear friends! It’s Anastasia here with a new project and video tutorial. The recycling and altered projects are some of my favourites, so I've altered again the packaging of Finnabair metal embellishments.

I made mixed media tag-shaker using gears - I gathered them from Large Gears, Grungy Frames, Mechanica moulds, paper die-cut elements, metal embellishments, chain pieces and a lot of various sequins.

I coloured almost all the decorative elements with Black Gesso, then added Steampunk Copper metallic acrylic paint and after completely dry I applied Rich Copper Metallic Wax.

I used Sage Leaves Matte Wax for Christmas Tree and Rose Gold and Burgundy waxes for double layer Christmas Tree ornaments. I glued two parts of the tag with 3D gel. The decorative elements were glued to the base with Heavy Body Gel.

In the end, I applied Copper Metal Flakes to the edges of the tag, glued a nice handle and added the 7 Dots Studio sticker on top.

Here is a video tutorial, I hope you will enjoy it.

Ready for creative 2022 by Katja Joulak

Hello dear mixed media lovers

Today I have a very special canvas for you. It is a Mixed Media Canvas that will get me ready for being creative in 2022. In this canvas, I leave the year 2021 and I prepare myself for a new year with happiness, adventure and creativity.

In the background, I have used the stencil, ghostwriter and it stands for what I leave and some more texture with scraps of paper and lace.  My photo is to the future and wings symbolise that I can go where ever  I want. For colours I have used metallic paints, Liquid Acrylics and Sparks.

For extra details, there is microbeads and glitter.

There is a video tutorial for you. Welcome to watch.

Xoxo Katja

Fly me to the moon by Kasia Salmanowicz

Fly me to the moon... we are starting the new year, I hope it will be creative as well. The words of this song are still stuck in my head so I thought it was a good time to do a project inspired by those words. And what's better than the Finnabair moulds with beautiful stars and moon? These moulds offer so many possibilities. To these metal accessories, of which Finnabair has a lot.

As a base, I used a star shape made of HDF material, which I painted with white gesso.

Then I used one of the stencils with gold coloured Jewel Paste. The effect is guaranteed. See for yourself in the video tutorial how beautiful it shines;)

I glued all the elements to it with Heavy Body Gel. I used liquid acrylic for colouring. Finally, to add a magical glow, I used a paste with flecks of shiny foil. It is true that the pastes from this series are completely unique:))

I invite you to watch the tutorial and wish you a Happy New Year! A lot of health and creativity,

Hugs,

Kasia Salmanowicz
