Brand Ambassadors' Spotlight

Dear friends,
Today we have second Brand Ambassadors' Spotlight blog post. It is completely new series on our blog, but each month there is a theme, a colour, a product, that will be a focus for our Ambassadors' projects. We hope you would feel inspired and our Brand Ambassadors will have an opportunity to share their talent and show, how they use Finnabair products.

This month the host is Sylwia Gryczuk and she wants to inspire us with "things with wings" theme. Feel invited to see projects by Finnabair Brand Ambassadors and read their words below. Enjoy this inspiring journey!

Hey Arty Souls! Sylwia here with my whimsical snowy art journal project.
I decided to use not very common colours for Christmas, but hey, why not?. Little TandiArt elf was just perfect for this project and I just couldn't wait to play with snowflake paste again and beautifully sparkling Art Alchemy Paints.

Hi Everyone,
Today I created an Altered Assemblage paint brush with several up-cycled materials. I really wanted to create an assemblage piece that represents me as an artist and so the body had to be a paint brush. I gathered several things from around my house that I could up-cycle and include in my project. The paint brush represented my body and I glued different things onto it like a lightbulb at the top to represent all the ideas running through my head. I glued a fidget spinner underneath my “face” to represent how all my ideas are spinning in my brain. Then I glued a box as the shell of my body with cogs, gears and a heart.  Finaly I glued a set of wings to represent my art having wings to fly and be free. Since the theme of the month was “Things with Wings”, I wanted my project to be a metaphor to this theme.

I really love how it turned out. I used Finnabair Metallique Acrylic Paints to create the beautiful metallic colors.
I have a video tutorial on how I created this paint brush right here below:

Enjoy!!

Hi lovelies,
So happy to be sharing a little art with you today created with so many of Finnabair’s luscious products.  I felt the urge to create some tiny art with delicious tiny detail because it’s the tiny details that make my heart sing and Finnabair’s products enable swoon worthy details galore.
One of my crushes at the moment are the amazing flower boards I see popping up everywhere; so a little idea started to tickle away in the back of my mind…a butterfly covered mini canvas and oh boy does Finnabair know how to do beautiful butterflies! I covered the canvas with washi tape, sealed with a lick of soft gloss gel and when dried I dusted over a thin layer of mica powders.  I used colouring pencils and to give the magical ‘PoP’ to the butterflies and  added tiny drops of Metallique paints on the wings, creating custom coloured gems, this quick and easy trick transforms the butterflies! I used crayon on the back of the butterflies, adhered to the canvas, splattered with Impasto paints & finally I adhered the word ‘Wings’ that I had added stitching to and left the threads hanging to create a little actual movement when the draft catches them.

The mini mirror frame came about because I wanted to find something as beautiful as the stamped out face I’d coloured using colouring pencils.

There was a full mirror inside the frame until I scratched off the paint on the back of the mirror to reveal the see through glass, I left mirror glints here and there but especially around the edges.  I adhered broken bits of semi-precious lewellery that I buy as scrap giving a decadent and delicate beauty, to bring out the smudgy blue eyeshadow I adhered two tiny blue butterflies, added patina pastes not only for colour but texture too and the high shine of the waxes works a treat!

Of course I couldn’t finish without a few Impasto paint splatters, my go to mica beads and glitter which, not only look stunning on any artwork but also fill in any of those tiny awkward crevices or unbalanced areas!  And how cute do the tiny cut out words from the cover of Finnabair’s Art Daily Sentiments pad- especially with stitching and the cotton thread left trailing.

Thanks for joining us today, I’m off to create another butterfly board teehee I’ve got the bug now but what colour palette should I use?  Decisions, decisions….

Not sure about you, but I really like the combination of matte impasto and shimmering acrylic paints from Finnabair. That is why today I prepared a vintage style tag, which combines these two products. I think that the overall effect is quite interesting because of the contrast.

Recently I’ve been using Impasto paints quite often because I am charmed by their colors and endless possibilities. You can dilute the paints with water and use them as a watercolors or cover the whole surface and achieve wonderful matte effect! I wish You a beautiful day!
