Symphony in Black & White

Happy creative weekend, Friends!
Today I'd like to share a canvas of mine that is a memory from one of my workshops.
The class is called 'Imagine' and I think (I hope) the name says it all.. ;)

The whole idea behind this class is that you don't really need heaps of fancy supplies to create a special art work of your own.
I strongly believe it's all about our Imagination...
We are surrounded by inspiring objects, which we can use for creating art of different kinds. You know me and my 'addiction' of collecting all kinds of seemingly useless objects - the treasures for your art truly are everywhere!

This is what we do during this class - mixing and matching all kinds of elements and embelishments, adding a magic touch of some basic media, limited palette paints and inks - the rest is up to your Imaginations! ;)

So I strongly encourage you - take a look around!
Rummage your drawers and long forgotten button boxes. ;) And don't be afraid to play!

Hugs,

Gorgeous. During your class in Springfield, IL - you mentioned to use "ugly buttons" as fillers. I came across a whole box of "uglies" that can be used - as no one will actually see them other than what I color them and put them in as fillers. I always smile now when I think of "ugly buttons".

It just seems to glow from within on one side, and go into shadows on the other side.

Hi Finn ~ I adore this canvas. It seems to shine from within and it's just lovely. I have a question that I forgot to ask when I took your classes in Indiana: How do you print your photos? They must be laser printed, right? Do you add a sealer to them? Your photos always look so crisp and clear! I love using your products and creating things I never imagined I could, but the photos always throw me...thanks!

Fabulous canvas. I love the way you build up the layers. Incredible result each time. I really wish I could go to your class... Sigh...
I love your ART.
Thank you for sharing. Always a great inspiration.
