I laughed and clapped my hands when I saw Marta's latest creation! :)
I swear we haven't discussed or planned it beforehand and yet she expressed the idea from my last Saturday post ever so perfectly!
Marta went crazy creative making today's piece - you'll have to see for yourselves! :)
Hello there!
It's Marta here again, this time with my December project.
I would like to show you my altered Finnabair jornal cover. I like it very much, it has a mix of brown and white cards inside, you will also find some handy plastic sheets in there - perfect for storing photos or any kinds of paper ephemera.
My inspiration came from one of my previous works in which I used the same color scheme. I loved these colours so much that I decided to create a special cover for my journal.
Anytime my friends are over, they always look through the pages wanting to see my new projects. I thought it would be nice to have something special on the front cover.

I created my background with Art Basics Light Paste applied through 'Harlequin' stencil. It created a nice subtle texture.
As for the colors, I chose pink and yellow sprays from Lindy's Stamp Gang.
I decorated my project with lots interesting objects...
I used plenty of Finnabair Mechanicals.
I
also added some wooden elements... You know the small wooden pieces that you can find attached on the back
of every brand new store-bought canvases? :) They are caled "keys" and basically they are used to tighten a canvas when it's not stretched properly. But hey, don't you think they make a nice geometrical embellishment? :)
Additionally I added my new findings: tire weights! Yes, those rectangular pieces are car parts.:)
You could also find pieces of laces and canvas.
It was really easy to glue all these elements using Soft Matte Gel.
If you would like to see my creating process, here's a short video for you. :)
I hope you will enjoy it and if you have any questions, let me know in the comments.
Hugs, Marta x
