Rusty window decoration by Katja Joulak

 Hi lovely mixed media lovers!

I had a small clock in a frame. The clockparts were broken so I opened the watch and I had only the edge left after a while. I added texture and added Graphite paste and mini art stones. Amun & Bast moulds are already my favourite ones.

I glued everything with Heavy Body Gel. When it is dry it is time for painting. Some metallic paint, Silver spoon around the frame. For rusty, grungy details some rust effect paste. To make some extra shading I used Liquid Acrylic Paint. For the final top, I have used waxes, first the white gold and then brushed iron.

Now I have a lovely wall and window decoration.

There is a video tutorial for you. Welcome to watch and enjoy.

Let me know what you think.

Xoxo Katja

Old Castle tale by Anastasia Korvyakova

Hello everyone! Anastasia is here with my new mixed media panel. This time I was playing with Raven Black Sparks acrylic paint as the main colour. I used this amazing paint for almost all the elements of my project. And just look how amazing this colour looks both by itself and in combination with other materials!

I really love the look of the mould from the set Locks and Keys I used in my project. Amazing transformation if you fill with resin only part of this mould you will get a beautiful and unusual gate!

I used for the background: Amethyst metallic acrylic paint, Old Silver Icing Paste and a bit of Crushed Amber Jewel Effect Paste through Old Wallpaper stencil. I also used Carmine liquid acrylic paint, Raven Black acrylic paint, and black and brown sprays.

To paint the chipboard and the mould casts, I used Carmine, Violet, Crimson liquid acrylic paints, Soft Satin acrylic paint, Charcoal Black matte wax, White Pearl wax and glitter from Autumn and Winter sets.

For more details watch on video tutorial I prepared for you!

Hugs,

Anastasia(aka nastyalena)

Shades of brown by Kasia Salmanowicz

 Hello,

You probably have your favourite colors, which you like to create? This is also in my case. I really like natural shades of brown with the addition of white. Although I sometimes leave my comfort zone, the most pleasant thing is being creative in my favourite tone.

I made a canvas full of new products from Finnabair. I used a mix of castings, including pocket watches, clock faces, insects, chains and beautiful decorative frames. Everything is glued on tissue paper and secured with clear gesso. I also used pebbles, dry sticks and elements made of HDF material.

I covered everything with two shades of liquid acrylic paints and wonderfully shiny waxes. I invite you to watch the video tutorial where you will find all the stages of creating this project.

Hugs,

Kasia Salmanowicz
