Rusty Teapot by Juliya Tirskaya

Hello there, creative friends!

Today I'd like to share with you my new inspiration! I decorated Altered Metal Frame – Rusty Teapot. In Yakutia, the breath of autumn is already strong, and it is time for the red, orange autumn work.

I covered the Teapot with Rust Paste, added red leaves and violet mushrooms)) I already look forward to Halloween, and for me it is orange, purple and green. Therefore, this was my palette for a teapot.

I made mushrooms by myself using egg packaging, and a bit of help of Gesso and Sculpture Medium! How? All this can be seen in my video. I hope you will enjoy viewing!

Today's inspiration is a vintage banner. Since I have recently been addicted to the rust effect, this time I decided to put the paste aside and focus on other products.

In this project I used two types of paint - liquid acrylic and impasto. They work great together. I especially like the fact that both of these paints are permanent after drying, so you can apply a lot of colors and do not get the mud effect, the colors do not mix. In addition, liquid acrylic behave similar to watercolors, they dissolve beautifully after adding water. Just remember that when they dry, the water won't work on them anymore.

Impasto paints replaced gesso in this project. Instead of white, I used burlap and linen to emphasize the details, the background. The whole composition is made with cupboards mostly. I have a lot of them and I decided to use them much more often. You can create interesting backgrounds, layers and definitely enrich any project.

Reach into your drawers and pull out the things you have already forgotten a little - and rediscover them. Good luck!

Finn's Video Journals - new YT videos for you!

Hi my lovely creative people!
There is a time when you feel you'd like to do something different, look for the new formula or just try some fresh approach. It happens for me from time to time as well and after months of thinking I've finally got brave enough to start my new kind of videos on YouTube - Video Journals.
What is the plan and the formula?
There is none, to be honest! I've decided to go with the flow and simply focus on the things I'm working on or thinking at that moment, show you a bit more of my life, share some thoughts and experience. It's very likely every episode will be different - depending on the topic and I will be experimenting with different ways of building the video of course... I will try to make it fun for both sides - so you can expect vlogs, over the shoulder shots, chats, inspirational speeches, unboxing of the new product... Well, just expect a bit of everything.
It doesn't mean I won't post tutorials or FB Live anymore! It's just my way to get closer to you and be able to share a bit more of my thoughts and adventures and as my friends - and many of you pointed to me - we are moving away from the blogs and getting on more visual social media more and more... I'm not sure if I like it, but I guess it is time to adapt!

Canvas "Positive" by Olya Kravets

Hello there lovely creative friends! Today I'd like to share with you my new inspiration - a mixed media canvas with amazing new Finnabair's products!

I think that you are already used to it that I create something unusual)) And this time I want to show you a simple and beautiful way to create picture for your interior and great mood! This canvas will be a real meditation for you. And with your favorite paints from Finnabair, this process will be the most enjoyable!

Here I used Metallic paints and magnificent Impasto paints. Acrylic paints can sometimes be translucent and if you want a denser color just use Impasto!

I applied paint with a brush in smooth movements, created waves. I thought out the shades in advance. You can use any ready-made palette and create such canvases in different color options. It is always interesting and something new and believe it is very simple!
Here that you can enjoy the paints and are not afraid of the large size of the canvas.

When the paint was dry I took Liner and drew lines and some African drawings. It was funny and I did not think about form or beauty, I just painted. African motifs are funny and simple, I recommend that you get to know them better.
Then I added some Melange Pebbles and Metal elements for playfulness.
It's simple, my beloved paints did all the work for me, I could only admire the process!
