Foolish Mortals Plaque by Lori Woods

Hello creative friends! Have you ever started a project, felt it just wasn't working and put it aside to do something else? I found this half-finished piece when I was clearing up the other day and decided to give it a new lease of life! 

I added some new mould and mechanicals elements to create more areas of interest on the background and give it more of a gothic mood. When I was happy with the new composition, I gave everything a coat of black gesso.

I used various colours of Finnabair waxes to colour and highlight different areas of the project- concentrating most of the colour on the centre elements. A little sprinkling of microbeads and my neglected piece has a whole new look!

House On The Hill With Rust Effect Paste by Anastasia Korvyakova

 Hello everyone, Anastasia is here with Halloween project. This time I’ve decided to alter paper box into witch's house and I was so carried away that I didn’t notice how I created not just witch's house but house on a hill with an underground storage

In this project I wanted to show what a gloomy but beautiful surface could be created using Black Gesso and Red Rust Effect paste. So I covered all the details with Black Gesso, then I applied mix of Black and White Gesso on some places and after that I was applying Rust paste

 

I highlighted few details, mostly metal, with Antique Brilliance waxes - Lucky Emerald and Amethyst Magic and Brushed Iron metallique wax. I also used these waxes to color mushrooms and grass. For the lantern, I also used absolutely amazing Dragon's Eye metallique acrylic paint and Fire Ruby wax

Fleeting Memories by Kasia Salmanowicz

 Hello everyone,

This time I have something less mixed-media for you. This happened thanks to new ‘Butterfly Effect’ scrapbooking papers from Finnabair and 7 Dots Studio. Beautiful designs full of details and lots of elements to cut out. The scissors couldn't wait to start cutting out all these wonderful elements.

On our YouTube channel, you can find video tutorials and watch all the details. I created a canvas full of paper with the addition of Finn rustic mechanicals. I also added some colours of liquid acrylic paints.
