Hello friends!
I’m very happy to share my new mixed-media project — Wings of Time.
I started by applying Decoupage Fiber to the canvas using Soft Matte Gel. I really love working with this material — it creates an excellent base for the next layers.
Next, I started building up the texture with Rust Effect Paste, creating an aged and weathered effect across the canvas.
Once the background was ready, I began working on the main composition. I used different moulds and dimensional elements, arranging them around the central mechanical moth until I was happy with the composition.
Then I added several layers of paint to bring everything together and create more depth.
For the final touches, I used waxes to highlight the details and textures. And finally, I added metal numbers and other metal embellishments to complete the composition.
I really enjoyed creating this project layer by layer and watching all the different textures, colours and elements come together.
You can find the full step-by-step tutorial on our YouTube channel.
Happy creating!
