Sea Breeze by Martina Stoycheva

Hello everyone!

Summer is here and I`m in a mood for sea canvas. 

I tend to make all my sea related projects in blue with touches of red. All of the nautical themed albums I made before were in blue shades. Which is understandable since the sea is blue(mostly). 

This time I wanted to make something in the shades of sand and rust. More sandy than sea color. 

I`m armed with the best arsenal of texture and rust effect pastes and the best White Heavy Gesso to create this white washed look. 

I also just bought these starfishes and my hands were itching to use them in beach related project, so I it was a date. 

It was a pure blast creating this one. Especially since I was on the beach this same morning and I even collected some more sea treasures for future projects to come. 

And just by the way, never throw all your popsticks from ice cream, since they go so well in that kind of canvases.

Hi dear friends!

It’s Olga Ravenskaya here today with my new project and video tutorial.

Among summer heat I wanted to make something breezy and icy. That way I’ve created wooden based panel – Freshness using liquid acrylics, different texture pastes and new moulds. 

Firstly I’ve applied randomly Sand paste to create a texture and after drying painted it with liquid acrylics.

Then I’ve added Crackle paste and Texture Fantasy Paste from Junkyard set.

All the chipboard and moulds I’ve painted with liquid acrylics and covered finally with Titanium White liquid acrylic paint.

Then I’ve tinted all the elements with Patina Blue Metallique paint mixed with White Gesso and added splashes.

Finally to give a beautiful shimmer I’ve added fabulous Golden Dragon and Mermaid Effect pastes.

 Hello, friends!

Today I want to show you a small canvas. For the centerpiece, I took a photograph with birds. It was the inspiration for the color palette of my work.

At the very beginning of creating the background, I applied a Plaster Paste and White Crackle Paste to the canvas. Then, through the stencil from Finnabair, I applied the White Sand Paste, having previously mixed it with Texture Powder. When all the pastes were well dry I added color using Liquid Acrylics, Metallique paint, stamps and splashes.

As a decoration, I used flowers from Prima Marketing, Mechanicals from Finnabair and a chipboard, which I covered with Liquid Acrylics, Metallique paints and waxes. From these elements, I put together a multi-layered composition. At the very end, I added some accents: sequins, beads and glitter. I pasted the accents with Soft Gloss Gel.
