Good morning, Creative Souls!
Do you know what’s always the biggest challenge when decorating a clock face?
For me, it’s definitely the fact that the composition has to stay flat so the hands can move freely!
Flat, yet still interesting… and that’s really not easy
To meet this requirement and still create a beautiful clock, this time I used Fiber Decoupage - it gave an amazing effect in the background while keeping everything nice and flat.
Let me also share a trick on how to surround your main motif with a stencil pattern without creating any texture underneath it.
Simply cut out the exact shape of the motif you plan to glue later from another piece of paper - in my case, it was this Lady.
Place this cut-out shape in the desired spot, apply modeling paste through your stencil, then remove both the stencil and the paper “mask.”
The result?
Where the paper was placed, there’s no stencil pattern - just a perfectly flat surface ready for your main motif.
Do you know this trick?
Let me know how you like my clock in this version! 🖤
