Frost Frame by Lori Woods

Hello creative friends! Finnabair’s new Steam and Frost collection is perfect for these winter months when there’s the smell of ice in the air. 

I created a box frame from card and painted it with impasto and liquid acrylics. I cut the decoupage paper into pieces to fit into each space. I then filled each space with mould pieces and ephemera.

To finish off I added snowflake paste around the base to create a gorgeous snow effect.

Sometimes you feel you just have to do something! 

That’s exactly how I felt when I was framing this badge with the inscription from 7 Dots Studio.

Luckily, casts from gear moulds came to my rescue. I love painting them first with Impasto paint – I treat it like colourful gesso – and then adding liquid acrylics and waxes.

The effect always amazes me!

Hello to all you Finnabair fans!!

Today I have a mixed media layout for you, the base of which I've covered with the beautiful decoupage fiber paper called "Nightdreaming”.

The photo I used is also from this package, and I've edited it with clear crackle paste. This gives the photo a wonderfully aged look, don’t think?

To make the layout a nice whole, I also treated the edges of the base with clear crackle paste.
