Spring Whisper – Mixed Media Panel by Margarita Shkludova

Today I’m sharing a new project inspired by the gentle anticipation of spring — the moment when the air becomes softer, blossoms begin to open, and everything feels filled with quiet hope.

This project is all about tenderness and renewal. Soft pink tones, delicate flowers, and light golden accents create a feeling of warmth slowly returning after the long winter. The composition feels airy and romantic, almost like the first sakura petals floating in the sunlight. It brings a sense of calm joy — that beautiful moment when you know something wonderful is just about to begin. 

One of my favorite elements in this piece is the use of Finnabair mould embellishments. These dimensional details add elegance and depth, helping the composition feel layered and alive. I love how mould elements can instantly transform a project, creating beautiful focal points while blending naturally with flowers, textures, and mixed-media backgrounds.

Today I’m sharing a new romantic winter canvas.

This piece feels quiet and reflective, like a paused moment in the middle of winter. Soft mint and frosty white tones, gentle textures, and vintage details create a calm, almost meditative mood. It’s about slowing down, breathing deeper, and allowing yourself to simply be in the moment.

For this project, I focused on the new Finnabair Ephemera “Steam and Frost.” These elements add such a beautiful balance of vintage character and winter chill — numbers, labels, and tiny details feel like frozen memories layered into the composition. To enhance the cold glow and delicate shimmer, I used the “Steam and Frost” wax set. Subtle metallic highlights bring the surface to life, catching the light like frost on leaves and flowers.

This canvas feels peaceful and tender — a little nostalgic, a little dreamy. A reminder that even in the coldest seasons, there is softness, beauty, and quiet inspiration waiting to be found.
