Mixed Media Minutes - Vintage Gift Bag - Live Show Tutorial

Hi my loves...
I know, I know... I promised to upload this video on my YT as soon as possible but this REALLY took far too long this time. I know I should blame my travels and new release coming (have you seen the sneak peek yet???) and some backstage works on the new product, but anyway - my apologies.
I honestly hope you will forgive me and this short break will just give you more energy and your creative juices will flow even faster!

Let's have a look at the project then.
It's a lovely mix of careless stamping, crazy layering - fabrics, papers and embellishments - and finally final touches including my favourite Art Ingredients - Mica Powders and Micro Beads. I wanted to achieve the careless, freestyle and vintage look - so perfection and precision in this kind of project were not really necessary. As you can see, I could not resist and I've used new collection from 7 Dots Studio - Air Mail. Muted tones and vintage postcards inspired paper collection was a perfect choice for my altered paper bag!

If you will get a closer look at the details you may notice I added some found objects into the composition as well - there are some rusty pieces of wire and old nails included. I love to add elements like this into my projects - it is a touch of authenticity, getting closer to the real story, which these photos and elements could tell us all. I am a huge fan of everything vintage and you can find really a lot of unusual objects in my collection... some of them are just for decoration, but most of them is waiting for their turn to be used in the project!

Can you see these beautiful colour accents? These are new Prima Washi Tapes from Prima Travellers Journal collection (yes, I had to get them all). For or the extra sparkle I've used Micro Beads glued to the surfaces with my old faithful Art Basics 3D Gloss Gel. Do you know it is a perfect adhesive for any kind collage? It dries clear and it is easy to apply - with a palette knife or fingers!

July's Fever: 2 Shows, new lines and a lot of travelling!

Hi there friends!
This was one crazy month: I was rambling through Canada, teaching classes, then moved to USA to Salt Lake City and Atlanta where we were showing the latest Prima releases and promoting my new Art Medium Lines: Art Basics, Art Ingredients and Art Extravagance!

I'm really grateful for this amazing, crazy month: I've met so many wonderful, friendly and talented people on my way who gave me so much love and encouragement to go on. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart: students, hostesses, helpers, friends. You made this "time away from home" really special to me and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

I assume you are wondering what I was doing for so long?
I can't tell you all - It would take a novel to share all the stories I remember from that trip, but I can show you a fun peek of what we were up to during Sierra Pacific Summer Show 2014 (also called  Mixed Media Madness...) in Salt Lake City, USA.

I was lucky to be asked to introduce Scrapbook.com followers to my Art Medium Lines which resulted in 2 sneak peek videos listed below for you :)

 Of course I was both excited and extremely stressed, so I hope you will forgive me all the mistakes, funny spelling, grammar...and so on ;)
I know you would like to learn more about Art Mediums too - but please, be patient a bit longer!
We are all working on the website info, booklets, videos and far more interesting content for you - and it all will be launching through August and September. I promise, I will keep you updated!

Here is the first video - short description of Finnabair Art Mediums by Prima.

Internationally Inspired - Online class!

Hi again my blog readers - there was a teaser, there was a silly video - time to reveal the secret!
I am so happy to announce that I am one of the teachers of Donna Downey's new Internationally Inspired online workshop! I'm in together with some of my favorite designers, awesomely talented and sweet girls: Donna Downey, Nat Kalbach, Birgit Koopsen and Cari Fennel. You can only imagine how proud I am to be the part of this project!

"One of the questions I get asked most often is, “where is the best place that you have travelled to?” My answer is always the same…regardless of where in the world I am, it is the people and the relationships made that make a life long impact on me. That said, I have been blessed enough to travel the globe, meet and build relationships with other creatives like myself, see and experience cultures and be present as the common threads tied so many of these experiences together because no matter the native tongue of each country we all communicate our passion through ART.

Each country I have visited and culture brings a new and intrinsically unique spin on the creative process, impacting on not only design style but the availability of product. In the United States we are often spoiled by the immediacy in which we can acquire creative mediums and products, while other cultures are often, out of necessity, stretching their creativity by finding new inventive ways to use the products that they do have. Because I have been fortunate enough to create with and be introduced to so many amazingly talented people through my 10 years of travel, I wanted to bring these artists and a bit of their culture to a more global venue and I cannot think of anything more global than the internet.

I have asked 4 very talented artists to accompany me in this first workshop in the series. I shipped each artist a big box of my products and asked them to video record their creative process. For some this was their first time in front of the camera, for others it was old hat…their only instruction was that they had to use some part of every product in the box. With no limitations on their creative styles, additional products or finished result, the results were authentically beautifully representing each artist and showcasing their stylistic niches. I watched each artist create absolutely in awe of their creative process and how each artist transformed my products.

I have no doubt that you too will be just as blown away as I was watching them create.

this will be an experience like non other...as the world becomes just that much smaller and the talents from around the globe share with you their unique ideas as they each assemble dynamic mixed-media books step-by-step right in your own home.

each artist's video is approximately 1.5-2 hours in length and details their process from start to finish, allowing you to watch all the way through, create along side her or interpret her ideas in your own style.

Coś nadchodzi... (i nie mam na myśli tej porażki poniżej) - Something BIG is coming! (and I don't mean only this epic fail below...)

Cześć kochani.
Zmaga mnie niestety jakieś podstępne wysokogorączkowe choróbsko któremu to absolutnie nie wolno mi się poddawać. Nakładam chłodny kompres na głowę, łykam tabletkę... i zgodnie z założonym planem a jednocześnie na poprawę humoru - zostawiam Wam ten oto  filmik:) Tak wygląda profesjonalna porażka na całej linii w moim wykonaniu. Mnie rozbawia do łez:)
... Czy wspomniałam już, że nadciąga coś DUŻEGO, EKSCYTUJĄCEGO i DŁUGO WYCZEKIWANEGO? Nie? Miejcie zatem oczy szeroko otwarte... już jutro. Filmik, można uznać za swojego rodzaju podpowiedź...

Hi my dear blog readers!
I'm fighting with kind of misterious fever today - all evening of trying to get rid of it and nothing:( I have no time and possibility to be sick now - no way! Not when my schedule is jampacked with deadlines and I'm leaving to USA next Thursday!!!
So, I put a cold, wet cloth on my head, take a pill, praying it will finally work and share with you this ridiculous video showing one of my biggest fails in last crafting months. Enjoy. It makes me laugh every time, sorry!
... BTW, did I mention that something BIG, LONG EXPECTED and EXCITING is coming? No? Have your eyes wide open tomorrow - and this video is a hint!

Witam wszystkich! Wczoraj miałam naprawdę szalony, gorący wieczór w doborowym towarzystwie ponad 560 osób z całego świata:) To wręcz niesamowite, ze tyle nas było na naszym wczorajszym Live with Prima!:) Było momentami stresująco, momentami zabawnie, zdarzały się drobne papuzie zakłócenia... ale koniec końców - doskonale się z wami bawiłam, serdecznie dziękuję za przybycie, wsparcie, dobre humory i wszystkie miłe komentarze jakie otrzymałam. jesteście naprawdę wspaniali :) Dla takich chwil warto żyć:)

Hi to you all my friends! I had a really crazy night yesterday, you know? I was in a great company of  more than 560 people, having fun and creating some mixedmedia Prima tags - all because of my Live with Prima show! It was great experience - ok, sometimes a bit stressful, funny, there were some birds interrupting...but all in all - thank you for being with me, for your support, great energy and all the love I got! You are amazing and I hope you enjoyed the show -  I did!

Creative Jump Start 2012:)

Hi again! I'm happy and excited - look what is coming son - and thanks to Nathalie Kalbach I am honored to be the part of this project too!

January is approaching–a month that is full with promises, resolutions and intentions. A month that for many is following lots of holiday celebrations, family gatherings and other end-of-the-year events.
It’s also time to start creating again. But suddenly there it is for some of us: that lost feeling on how to start. Here is the cure!
A group of wonderful, inspiring and creative women from around the globe in the scrapbooking and mixed media fields have joined together for the Creative Jump Start Summit 2012. We are coming together to tell you how we get back into the creative groove and how we get our creative juices flowing.
We want to share with you to help you jump start your creativity in 2012.

Zrobiłam to! Pomimo ogromnego stresu, dzięki wspaniałemu międzynarodowemu wsparciu wszystko się odbyło mniej-więcej pomyślnie:) Dziękuję kochanym kobietom, które dzielnie wspierały mnie na chacie podpowiadając to i owo koleżankom :* Było na s około 270 osób... a kto nie zdążył lub nie mógł, am chce - ma szanse obejrzeć, gdyż całość została nagrana. ( Ja się  boję oglądać, muszę dojrzeć do tej myśli):) Zapraszam!

I did it! 30.11.2011 - Live with Prima - zaproszenie - invitation :)

Dzisiaj mam dla Was niespodziankę. Niespodziankę tak niespodziewaną, że sama nie wiem, co to będzie :)trzęsą mi się kolana i nerwowo przekładam rzeczy z miejsca na miejsce...
Otóż w środę, 30 listopada o godzinie 20.00 odbędzie się pierwsze Live with Prima z moim udziałem... na czym to polega? Otóż, będę nadawać do internetowego świata zza mojego własnego biurka, pokazując krok po kroku jak powstaje słodko - śmieciowy,  Finnowo - Primowy projekt, którego zdjęcia zamieszczam poniżej :) Zapraszam!

Today I've got a surprise for you! This surprise is also a great surprise for me :) I'm not sure what will happen, my knees are shaking and I have to remember about breathing, but... let me invite you to my first ever live show - Live with Prima, on Official Prima channel on Ustream. The show is starting on Wednesday, November 30^th at 11:00am PT/ 2:00pm ET/ 8:00pm, CET, GMT+1. 

During this event I'll show how to create a layout similar to the one one below, step by step:) Sweet and grungy in one! Pure fun!

Oczywiście  - jestem cała w stresie i oczywiście - raz jeszcze bardzo serdecznie wszystkich Was zapraszam na oficjalny kanał Primy na środę, 30 listopada na godzinę 20.00... i bardzo proszę o trzymanie kciuków! Mówienie do małej czarnej kamerki budzi we  mnie nieufność... a kontakt wzrokowy z przeciwnikiem? O rany... (dodam jeszcze, że w trakcie można komunikować się ze mną za pomocą podłączonego do pokazu chatroomu... trzeba się zalogować na kanale Ustream i poszukać chatu po prawej stronie od okienka z filmikiem. Im dłużej o tym piszę, tym bardziej jestem spanikowana...! AAAaaaa!!!)
Once again - I'm inviting all of you to the show, please, keep your fingers crossed for me! You can imagine how stressed and shaky I am now - it is not usual to talk to the camera, right? I promise to do my best!
