Finnabair Art Studio is here... and my first ever over a week long online workshop!

 Hi my Dears!

I'm here today to share one really special project with you - something which we had on the table for over a year and now, finally it is coming to life! 

I'd like to officially introduce you to Finnabair Art Studio - my own online space which soon will be filling with longer and shorter online classes! 

This project finally came to life thanks to my best friend, support and right hand in almost all online endeavours - Tusia Lech, who knows how to deal with the gods of the Internet and how to bring my ideas and suggestions to life. I'd be totally lost without her help!

Launching this new, sleek and shiny website is one reason to celebrate... but opening registration for one very unique, close to my heart online workshop is another! It is all happening now!

What you should know about  Creativity Whispering #1?

Creativity Whispering is over a week long project focusing on our relationship with creativity, our wellbeing and important questions we keep asking along the way: about finding the space and time for art, inspiration, about personal style, how to deal with creative blocks, perfectionism, fear and negative thoughts - I've heard them all during my classes from the students all over the world.

 I strongly believe in the power of transformation and our ability to make changes in our life, when we put our intention and energy into it. The changes may be small at first, but they go deep and affect many aspects of our existence. To start the change we need to find out who we are, where we are now and start from there with open head and heart… and here I come with my “Creativity Whispering” online courses!

Imagine - mixed-media collage 

Imagine Collage is one of my favourite classes to teach. 
As with most of my projects, it shows the way how you can recycle the stuff you already have in your stash, techniques which are fun and easy to do... and the effects are always mind-blowing!
As it is a retired class we've made sure it is refreshed and tweaked, with extra content added, so you will surely enjoy it, even if you took it in the past in person!

“Imagine” class is based on a mixed-media collage canvas project: I'm taking you to my unique and imaginative world of layers, textures and dreamy colours. You will be able to see and you’ll be encouraged to follow step-by-step instructions where I explain every stage in great detail and give you the opportunity to turn your own imagination on.
Together with this class you will be also getting a full and detailed product information in a video form. Even if you are a beginner and you have no idea what does “gesso” mean… I will explain everything you need to know about it in order to complete the project. This class is perfect for everyone. Even for those of you who have already done it “live” in the classroom -  as you are getting a fabulous and priceless reminder of her most staple techniques together with tips that weren’t included.

Dark Beauty - Brush for Creative Jump Start 2018

Book Altering - Endless Possibilities

Hi again my dears!
Not long ago I was sharing the happy news about my brand new ONLINE CLASS - "Book of Possibilities". 
It was a very happy and very important moment for me - you can name it my next milestone in my career as a mixed-media teacher! Last year I was thinking creating online class in the shape and size I was thinking of will be simply impossible for me - but then my friends stepped up and all the impossible turned into possible!

Today I'd like to show you some shots of the book covers which are done during the online class - yes, you will get detailed instruction how to create altered book covers in 2 ways - not bad, huh?

This cover was created using Art Extravagance Crackle Texture Paste, Art Basics Black Gesso and Heavy Body Gel, Art Alchemy Waxes and more! I absolutely love the effect...

Don't you just love the colours and textures on this book? I was so inspired by natural colours of the vintage book cover I was trying to find the closest possible colours of Art Alchemy Metallique Paints to match it!

I didn't use so many elements to decorate it  - but the rich colours, pretty textures and lovely stencil details are doing the trick here! And can you see  these cool crackle effects? Or the beauty of the original title of the book, revealed by Art Alchemy Metallique Paints and Waxes?
It is rich, detailed, it is beautifully shiny and it really catches the eye - I hope you like it too!

You can have a look at what happened inside of the book in a separate post here - I'm sharing some of these techniques during the online class, some of the pages were done once the book was finished, just for my own pleasure! Enjoy!
