Book of Possibilities * Brand New Online Class!

My dear Friends...
Perhaps some of you have already seen the news that Everything Art and I shared yesterday but... let's go back to the past for a moment, shall we...? ;)

Releasing my first online class - Imagine Collage - I had my hands shaking, but heart full of hope.
It was a real milestone in my artistic life.
And oh my... the response we got - all the enthusiastic reviews, heartwarming messages and tons of beautiful artworks made by the students - it made me feel proud and humbled at the same time.

I don't want to miss another opportunity to thank you so much for your support, encouragement and all the beautiful words I heard from you. I can't express how much it means to me!

I'm so grateful my friends Kasia nad Jamie who came up with this beautiful cooperation - they helped me so much to make this dream of mine come true...

And now - get ready! - we are giving our second online class in your hands and it's called

Book of Possibilities!

It's sparkling new, never taught before, created especially for Everything Art and for you all out there! :)

In this class I'm trying to share with you all my love for collecting, creating and tranforming.

It is a unique mix that I hope you will really enjoy - inspirations, techniques, practical tips and a lot of creative freedom!

My plan was to invite you to my creative world, try to explain my ways of looking at things, help you discover their potential and give you tools to give these bits and pieces a chance to really shine...

Think of books, old paper, images, photos, scraps of paper and fabric - all these elements + art mediums are something that makes the Art Transformation possible. They are all waiting for you here!
You have to admit that vintage books have a special kind of magic feel and in this class we'll make them even more exeptional - we'll make them yours, playing with all kinds of inspiring mixed media techniques and creating your unique, very personal mood book.

I explain where to find and how to choose an old book to work in, how to prepare it, embellish the covers (two ways!) and I share many ideas what to create inside.

This class is something brand new and never seen before and also longer than my other mixed media collage Imagine class that perhaps some of you have already taken.
And as always and with each of my classes - my whole heart is there and I can't wait to share my passion for this type of book art with you!
If you're still hesitating, you need to know that my Book of Possibilites comes with very detailed instructions, I take you through every step and you can also chat with Everything Art Community (with me and other class members) if you need more guidance or any kind of help.

The class is downloadable from the Everything Art, so once you purchase, you can do watch it whenever you want, in the pace that suits you and as many times as you like!

Registration for my brand new Book of Possibilites online class is open so head right ahead to Everything Art shop!
If you're still hesitating (I hope not! ;), please read the detailed description and join me in the clasroom soon!

Let's get our fingers dirty and make some gorgeous book art together!

Hugs

Art Journal Therapy

Hi again!
In the last weeks - due to many circumstances including lots of traveling, working in many fields in one time and simply - my internal need  - my art journal seems to have been my main artistic field. Of course - I'm very active during the classes, creating happily with my students and having a great time - but in between all of this, I feel the need to put many of my emotions and feelings on the pages of the book.
I shared quite a personal post on "journaling on my lap" about 2 weeks ago.
It was a brave step for me - to show pages which were done with limited supplies, without my usual focus on finishing the details. But at the same time it was real, the closest to my current reality possible.

Today I've got another project different from my usual creative ways - a journal spread made by me in the end of December, to warm up after a longer break, quite a difficult time then for me, without any creativity. Surprisingly it goes perfectly with my current mood, too!
This is a large journal spread - done in my A4 size vintage address book and it is mostly based on working with layers and gesso (Art Basics Heavy White Gesso - of course!), watercolors, pens and pencils. I was able to try out stamps from Everything Art sets - and I went a bit crazy with them! ;)

The image I used was printed on my laser printer. I used Soft Matte Gel as my glue and sealer and covered the picture with one coat of Art Basics Clear Gesso to protect it, seal it and make it easy to work on. Did I mention already that Clear Gesso is journaler's best friend? The beautiful, transparent matte coat you are getting this way is just perfect for most of the techniques!

Here is the list of the supplies I used - all the items are available in Mixed Media Place Store!
If you'd like to have a closer look at the stamps - check Everything Art Shop here!

Sending best wishes to you all - and heading to Israel now, to jump into mixed-media reality again!

P.S. Did you see?
I'm going to USA and Canada in the break of March and April - this may be your last chance to book a class somewhere closer to your area! Check these out!

PS2. Don't forget to check out the ongoing Designers' Faves facebook group challenge - this month John is encouraging and inspiring you to create some beautiful mixed media jewelry!
You can read more about it in John's post and add your submissions here.
It's on till March 15th so don't wait and join in the fun!

Art Transformations Café

My Dear Friends...
I can't thank you enough for such a beautiful response to the Art Transformations project - my brand new venture in collaboration with Everything Art. In case you missed the news, I wrote about it {here}
I got so many amazing comments, messages, words of encouragement and excitement - once again you simply left me speechless, humbled and deeply moved...
Thank you so much for this heartwarming support, I hope our first online class - "Imagine" is going to meet your expectations and to be honest - I just can't wait to see the results and your beautiful art!
I'm sure we will all see many wonderful, creative projects - but what is most important to me, I believe for some of you this class might actaully be the spark that will start your own Art Transformation.
Whatever that means to you, wherever this road may take you, I'll be your biggest supporter and fan! Oh, I can't wait to see the magic begin already!!!

In the meantime, (and I'm waiting really impatiently! ;) ) together with Kasia and Jamie from Everything Art, we've prepared this informal, relaxed interview - or rather a friendly chat in a café in which I'm sharing quite a lot of my thoughts, ideas, memories and reflections.

If you'd like to know why transformations and creativity are so important to me, how long I've been creating art or... why a moth is my symbol and brand logo - this video is something you have to see! :)
Sit back, grab a cup and enjoy!!!

I hope you find my café chat interesting! :) I'd love to hear what you think about it but most of all -
- I'd love to see you soon in my first online class!
You can read all about the whole Art Transformations series and buy the 'Imagine' class on Everything Art website and find all the necessary info on this page of my blog.

"Imagine" class is £24.99 which will be about $31 US, $40 AUD/CAD, €29 Euro.
You can buy it today, or long after the official launch... just click the link and register!

Have I mentioned how impatiently I'm waiting? ;)
Will I see you there?
Lots of hugs,

Get Ready for Art Transformations!

My Dear Friends!
I can't believe this is actually happening and that I'm sharing this news with you... :)
For a long time I was almost sure it was impossible, something really beyond my reach... but now, with the help and encouragement I got from my friends, Kasia and Jamie from Everything Art, I can really see another one of my dreams becoming a reality!

My classes are going online!

Before I give you more details about my Art Transformations series, I'd like to invite you to watch this promo video so beautifully shot by Kasia & Jamie. Enjoy!

Art Transformations by Finnabair and Everything Art from Everything Art on Vimeo.

I can't tell you how many times I was emailed, messaged and asked in person about creating an online classroom which could be open for everybody: my students who are ready for more or the ones who would like to have the techniques refreshed, mixed-media oriented artists and crafters who always wanted to join my classes, but for whom it was not possible... and last but not least -
- for mixed- media beginners who are attracted to rich, dimensional projects which happen to be my signature style, who would like to see it all, step by step, and discover products, techniques and most of all, the joy of creating.
And all that from the comfort of your own home! :)
You will be able to take some of my retired classes (tweaked and refreshed!) that were both loved by my students and that are close to my own heart too.
And there will be even more! The never before seen exclusive classes, interviews, chats, PDFs, a friendly community to share your art, extra features, and most of all - the possibility to get and keep in touch.
I'm so excited, proud and happy to see this project finally going live....
I hope it will open the door to creativity for many of you and I can't imagine a better chance to expand my classroom and invite you all in...

A big dream come true...
Will I see you there? :)
