Few Things I Did When I Wasn't Here... and a Giveaway!

Hi again my dear creative souls!
I'm almost back... well, physically I'm back but I can't tell m on the top of everything after being for 4 weeks away from home. There are piles of things which are waiting for me here and I'm trying to go through them all, one-by-one. It's not easy, but I will make it, eventually!
So what I was doing when I wasn't here? I was quite busy you know...

I was visiting some of the coolest stores in this universe - Scrappy Chic in Livonia, MI, Clipper Street  in Vancouver, BC and The Paper Bunny in Las Vegas... some serious projects were done!

In between I was visiting Prima headquarters with my secret mission... don't you think it is high time to play with some new goodies? Keep your eyes open!

During this month I was also teaching for Art Is You - really amazing, life changing art retreat where you have a chance to meet the most beautiful, creative people... both teachers and students! If you will ever have a chance to join the event - I promise - you won't regret!
During my whole trip, I was creative - both in the classroom and outside! I was able to teach some of my favourite classes - check out some of the samples I created in the classroom!

And in a spare moment (!) I was even able to work in my Art Journal, the very same I started this year as my ongoing "Travelling Journal" project. I used some of the supplies I found in my friend's studio - it was a breath of fresh air, moment for myself - I really needed that!

Next thing which was on my plate during this month was working on the schedule of my Summer 2017 Tour in USA. Some of the dates and places are already posted here, in my "Live Classes" Tab, so check it out and see the date!

There is one more thing which happened when I was away... My 3 new sets of Mechanicals - Winter Trinkets, Vintage Snowflakes and Metal Lotus were officially released! I was waiting for them for so long - and now they are here, you can get them in your local stores and online!

To celebrate this fabulous news I have a small giveaway for you!
You can win a set of 5 packs of the new Mechanicals - (2x Winter Trinkets, 2x Vintage Snowflakes and 1x Metal Lotus) if you will answer 1 question:
What is your favourite mixed-media technique and why?
The Giveaway is opened till Saturday night ( 29 April 2017) - midnight!
I will announce the winner in my next blogpost - on Monday :)
Good luck - I'm waiting for your answers impatiently!
huge hugs!

Artifacts Come in all Shapes and Sizes...

Hi again my dear ones!
I'm back here, between my usual schedule - traveling, planning, teaching and creating... in fact, I'm far ahead in plans for 2017 and I hope soon I will be able to share my full schedule for the next year - how crazy is that?

Today I'd like to show you one of the projects I decided to put on a bigger canvas - I'm sure you remember my "Artifact" class, full of texture, dimension, dramatic games of light and shadow? Well, there is now a chance to make a bigger version of this project... it transformed into the triptych and it really is full day od mixed-media fun - check it out!
(I'm going to teach this class next year during ART IS YOU Art Retreat in Minneapolis - you can see the full schedule including my other classes and amazing art from crazy talented teachers here... )

(The Ultimate Artifact - triptych 3x 18x24 cm)

You know I simply love using everyday objects and found items - here I was playing with the idea of double brush composition, built on the top of the heavy texture, surrounded by tons of metal plastic and paper elements - mostly my Mechanicals, Art Pebbles and Art Stones from Prima, but there is much more! As it is a classroom project I had limited access to my rubbish boxes and I  could only use whatever I put in the kit... but the results are not too bad, don't you think?

But this project is not just rich composition! there are amazing layers, which just make my heart sing: cardboard, fabric, lace, Art Extravagance Texture Pastes used with and without stencils - so much to see, so much to touch! All the colours used are based on my product too: Art Basics Black Heavy Gesso, Art Alchemy Paints and Art Ingredients Mica Powders are the ones I have to list first. It allmakess me a really proud product designer... I just love how thy all work together, just as I planned!

If you are interested in taking this class - here is your chance!
You can join Art Is You in Minneapolis and learn from the most amazing artists...or me ;) I'm so very proud to be invited to join this artistic tribe again! Check us out - and watch out for updates on Santa Rosa Art Retreat too!

Here is a list of the most important art medium used for this project - I hope it helps!

Sending best wishes to you all

The Flaming Heart

Hello, my Friends!
Do you remember when I told you about my next year's dream come true? :) I'm so very thrilled that I will be teaching full day classes during Art is You event in Santa Rosa, April 2016!

I've already told you about my Ultimate ARTifact workshop I will be teaching and today I'd like to tell you about another class.
It's called The Flaming Heart and I won't do too much talking as you can read all about it over here.
I'll just say that I thought to myself - why have one canvas when you can have three! ;)

As usual, I will teach and share the joy of having fun with textures and colors but this time all in delicate, pastel tones.

We'll be creating magic with paints and watercolor pencils, texture pastes and Art Ingredients and let's not forget - all the little trinkets and found objects that make every project so unique and personal...

The whole Art Is You event is simply irresistible and I truly hope I inspired you to join in... :)

When you make your decision, click on this link and you will receive $20.00 off your registration fee!

Lots of hugs and - hopefuly - see you there! :)
