Strange & Unusual by Lori Woods

 Hello creative friends!

For my latest project I wanted to make something completely different. I had an old Halloween decoration on my desk and decided to turn it into a slightly creepy but sparkly frog!

I started by covering the body with some scraps of decoupage fiber to create a solid base. I painted the legs and head with Sparks paint to give a base coat of colour.  I spread effect pastes onto a plastic sheet and peeled these off when dry. These create great flexible media that can be cut into any shape you like. I cut lots of circles out to imitate scales and then glued these across the body.

For the base I used modelling paste to create texture and added air dry clay leaves that I bent into shape when they were still flexible. I coloured everything with paint and finished off with some wax to create a contrast.

Grow your wings by Szafranowe Twory

 Hey there!

I absolutely love painting on trash, so I was over the moon when my husband gave me some old motherboards from a few random computers 😅

This time, I used one of them as the background for this rather unusual piece of decor!

Admit it - aren't flowers and gears a match made in heaven? I painted them with impasto paint, followed by liquid acrylics and waxes. Plus, my favorite Lady from the ephemera se - she goes with everything, but wings suit her exceptionally well!

How do you like my project?

Adventure Awaits - mixed-media canvas by Judith

 Hello everyone,

Today I have a project for you with nice bright colors and lots of glitter.

First, I worked on the base with Pearl Effect Paste Dusk. And I used a stencil from the Victorian Tiles set.

As you have come to expect from me, I used many resin embellishments again from various beautiful Finnabair moulds.

Finally, I used the Effect Paste Phoenix set, from Ember Dusk Effect Paste set.
