Vintage art-journal pages by Artajunk

 Hi everyone,

This time I created art journal spread. I used my favorite impasto and liquid acrylic. They work together perfectly! I added some wax to make the pages more shiny. I made simple composition with only few elements.

Have fun creating!!

Altered Doll Paint Brush by Lanette

Hello All, You Amazing Creative People!

Today I'm sharing an altered MDF Paint Brush Kit that I rediscovered in my stash and transformed into a whimsical mixed media fairy using an image from Art House Whimsy and lots of my favorite Finnabair products.

I had so much fun building layers of texture, adding beautiful metallic accents, and creating a soft, ethereal look with flowers, embellishments, and touches of sparkle. Projects like this are a wonderful reminder that treasures hiding in our craft rooms can become something completely new with a little imagination and creative play.

If you'd like to see exactly how this project came together, be sure to watch the full step-by-step process video on the Finnabair YouTube channel. I share all the techniques, products, and details that brought this magical piece to life.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope this project inspires you to pull something from your own stash, experiment with your favorite mediums, and spend some time creating something that brings you joy.

Happy creating!

Hugs, Lanette

Colourful Experiment by Lori Woods

 Hello creative friends!

When I got the new Finnabair effect paste sets, I knew they would be great for stencils but I also wanted to see what else I could do with them. I decided to create this project as a kind of experiment and one of the Southampton Butterflies decoupage sheets had the perfect background to start.

I spread a nice thick layer of the Enchanted Pearl paste onto some old plastic packaging and places some chipboard shapes on top of this. When the paste dried, it had a nice solid flexible finish so that I could just peel it from the plastic, trim it around the chipboard and turned into a beautiful opalescent embellishment! For the Mermaid paste, I decided I would use it to fill some tiny glass bottles to create some magical little potions for my experiment.

I then layered everything out on the background with the perfect picture of a mad scientist to go with it and I think I will call this experiment a success!
