In the meantime, we have for you an inspiration prepared by Lanetter Erickson. She used new products, including Liquid Acrylics, but she mixed the colours from different sets.
Hello creative friends! I've really been enjoying playing around with the latest Finnabair release- cute paint trios and the always fabulous stencils! The November mood board really inspired me to think about how I would use the Sentimental set and I decided to create something that emphasised the sweet, candy colours in this trio.
And here is this month's moodboard with the colours from
Limited Edition Liquid Acrylic Set: Sentimental
I started by adding some damask resist canvas to my base to work with the damask stencil from the new Shabby Romantic set. I built a composition of mould pieces and mechanicals on top of some chipboard to create areas of detail and interest. Once everything had a coat of white gesso, it was time to start colouring it in.
I wanted to have the Powder pink as the main colour so kept the Ochre for the background and shadows, and the Lavender for smaller areas of detail. To highlight areas of interest and to keep in line with the candy colour theme, I chose Indian Pink and Royal Robes metallic waxes. I finished with some pink mica flakes which looked just like sugary candy crumbs!

I am welcoming November with a project based on a moodboard from Finnabair with a new product, which is one of the Liquid Acrylic Paint. Just look at these colors from ‘Sentimental’ set and let your creative imagination run wild.
Here is this month moodboard with the colours from Limited Edition Liquid Acrylic Set: Sentimental
I made my mixed media project on a canvas using rice paper, dry sticks that I found on a walk and metal Finnabair elements. There are quite a few of them in the Mixed Media Place store! They have interesting shapes, they are great for building compositions and, most importantly, you can paint them. Just apply a thin layer of clear gesso, which will protect and matt the surface. Later, you can paint it, for example with liquid acrylic paints.
You can find the entire creation process in my YouTube tutorial. I invite you to watch.
Have a nice day,
Kasia Salmanowicz
