Journey by Judith Tijsen

 Hello everyone,

Today I get to show you the very last project I created for Finnabair’s Design Team. Unfortunately, I am leaving the team after a year.

I remain incredibly proud to have worked with such an amazing team, and I look back on the experience with great pleasure.

Now, a quick word about the project itself. The base is a round wooden board measuring 30 cm. It has been treated with "Midnight Tides" effect paste and various colors of acrylic paint. The wonderful image comes from the "Chestnut Street" Fiber Paper set.

Naturally, I used various moulds from Finnabair and Prima Marketing. The stunning bright blue finish also comes from the "Midnight Tides" effect paste set.

You can see the details, the composition, the materials and the techniques that I have used in this video tutorial.

Strange & Unusual by Lori Woods

 Hello creative friends!

For my latest project I wanted to make something completely different. I had an old Halloween decoration on my desk and decided to turn it into a slightly creepy but sparkly frog!

I started by covering the body with some scraps of decoupage fiber to create a solid base. I painted the legs and head with Sparks paint to give a base coat of colour.  I spread effect pastes onto a plastic sheet and peeled these off when dry. These create great flexible media that can be cut into any shape you like. I cut lots of circles out to imitate scales and then glued these across the body.

For the base I used modelling paste to create texture and added air dry clay leaves that I bent into shape when they were still flexible. I coloured everything with paint and finished off with some wax to create a contrast.

Grow your wings by Szafranowe Twory

 Hey there!

I absolutely love painting on trash, so I was over the moon when my husband gave me some old motherboards from a few random computers 😅

This time, I used one of them as the background for this rather unusual piece of decor!

Admit it - aren't flowers and gears a match made in heaven? I painted them with impasto paint, followed by liquid acrylics and waxes. Plus, my favorite Lady from the ephemera se - she goes with everything, but wings suit her exceptionally well!

How do you like my project?
