Rose Garden – Mixed Media Canvas by Margarita Shkludova

Hello dear friends! Margarita Shkludova is here.

The new set of Liquid Acrylics "Sentimental" from Finnabair inspires delicate projects filled with dreams and fond memories. My new canvas transports you to a rose garden on a bright, sunny, joyful day.

The background is adorned with tissue paper, with painterly drips and vibrant blends created using the new stencil and liquid acrylics. A complete list of Finnabair materials used can be found below.

Sweet Heart by Lori Woods

Hello creative friends! I've really been enjoying playing around with the latest Finnabair release- cute paint trios and the always fabulous stencils! The November mood board really inspired me to think about how I would use the Sentimental set and I decided to create something that emphasised the sweet, candy colours in this trio.

And here is this month's moodboard with the colours from

Limited Edition Liquid Acrylic Set: Sentimental

I started by adding some damask resist canvas to my base to work with the damask stencil from the new Shabby Romantic set. I built a composition of mould pieces and mechanicals on top of some chipboard to create areas of detail and interest. Once everything had a coat of white gesso, it was time to start colouring it in.

I wanted to have the Powder pink as the main colour so kept the Ochre for the background and shadows, and the Lavender for smaller areas of detail. To highlight areas of interest and to keep in line with the candy colour theme, I chose Indian Pink and Royal Robes metallic waxes. I finished with some pink mica flakes which looked just like sugary candy crumbs!
