She Sips Her Tea...

Hi again friends...
Today's project was made by very talented and beautiful lady, whose projects always spoke to me big words. But today - Gayle left me speechless...
I can only say I feel very touched, moved and I feel I wish I knew more words to say"thank you".

Hello. I don’t know about you, but I know I have been massively influenced and inspired by Finnabair. Her style is easily recognisable anywhere. So many of us have taken her wonderful classes and now use her amazing products.
I know Finn loves to drink tea... I know she uses tea stains and tea bags in her creations. So I have created a page about Finnabair using her beautiful 'Trust The Magic' Stamp, her metal Mechanicals, her Doily Clear Stamp, her Grungy Grid Stencil, her 3D Matte Gel, her soft and shimmery Mica Powders, her Glass and Micro Beads and… a tea bag!
This is my “Ode To Finn”…..an ‘ode’ is a poem…..mine is very short.

The background was gessoed, then Mica Powder mixed with water was misted through the Elementals ‘Grungy Grid” Stencil. The ‘Doily’ clear Stamp was next and that was embossed. A few bits of patterned tissue were added and some stamping.

Next I added all the metal and resin embellishments that were to go on either side of the stamped figure. They were attached with 3D Gel. You can see above the right hand side has been finished and the left hand side is ‘raw.’

All the embellishments will be coated with Heavy White Gesso; dried, then misted with Gold Mica Powder mixed with water; dried, then Teal Mica Powder mixed with water added on top. Around the edges I’ve painted on ’Salty Ocean’ Distress Stain.

The stamp was coloured using using watercolor pencils.

I cut a slit in the back of the tea bag, emptied out the tea leaves, then filled the bag with Glass Beads. Gessoed the bag and then misted it with Gold and Teal Mica Powders.
The stain under the tea bag is actually black tea. I dabbed on some Soft Matte Gel and sprinkled on Zinc Glass Beads and Copper Micro Beads.

Gold and Teal Mica Powders create such a beautiful soft glow.

I hope you enjoyed my "cup of tea". ;)
