It’s always so exciting when Finnabair releases new products, and this time she has out done herself with a range of beautiful new stamps. I have made a tag using two stamps from the Dirty Walls set and two from the Dream On set.
The “Net and Wire” set turned my thoughts to sea and waves. I created two little ATCs using many stamps from the new collection. I used the thin netting stamp in the set as detail in the background. The waves I made with stamps from the “Dirty Walls” set using inks in different shades. I also added white embossing as sea foam using white embossing powder and another stamp from the “Dirty Walls” set.
As huge fan of visual journals I enjoyed creating my pages using new stamps. If you are not good at drawing stamps are just perfect. I used mica powders to colour the images, I loved it!

new 'Never Too Late' set of cling stamps from Finnabair. I wanted to
create something a little different and unique here - loving a bronze star and gold threads radiating from the head piece on the stamped image, quite an
effective look isn't it?

I think the thing I like the most about the stamps is how very detailed they are even the little scratch marks and spots look real! I am in love with the new tele and can't wait to get my hands on one! They are amazing!!!

Oh wow - I always love your stamps - would have to say Dream On' with the big hair is a favourite but Oh My Goodness that altered frame - I just have to have one (at least one -maybe more!!) it's fabulous!!

My bedroom wall looked like this as a child and I loved the grunginess with all the layers of paint showing through. Here's hoping I win, for once in my life..............

ReplyDeleteOMG the DT have made some truly amazing pieces! There is much to love about these stamps but what I like most about them is that they would blend in to a background and become part of whatever you are doing, not just sitting on top, a lovely style! They would give great depth to any creation. Looove them.

My grandma had a tiny phone like your rusted frame which was actually a magnet. I remember playing with it as a child holding the tiny receiver up to my ear! It would serve as a great base for a mini shrine to remember her by :)

The first metal effect stamp is interesting for backgrounds, fabric and hair maybe. Can't wait for these to hit our local shops... Would love to win the set and artistically get going and create something totally unique

ReplyDeleteThese new designs look great Finn! I love the messages, "Dream On" and "Its never too late", they encourage hope for the future and not being afraid to dream BIG dreams! Personally, thats a message I could use a little more of in my life. My favorite thing so far, I'm not sure of the name of it but its the first image in your list. It looks like criss-crossed straps of metal, with three rows of studs that look a little like flowers. I love the high contrast look of this image and the 3D effect it produces, that's not something I've seen often in a stamp. Thanks for more great products Finn, I hope you're having fun on tour!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous work by the team - beautiful projects! The vintage telephone frame is gorgeous!! My grandmother had an old phone exactly like this that she had in a box in her attic. I think I would do a frame of my grandmother - she was wonderful!
