I'll share a little secret with you: children's board books are perfect for art journals! That's all thanks to their thick pages, which can handle all kinds of mixed-media experiments!
So, I upcycled a book like that from my sons, and so far, I’ve managed to decorate the cover using casts from various molds. I was in the mood for a metallic "wow" effect, so I first painted everything with black gesso and then went wild with metallic waxes! These are definitely my favorite creative shenanigans. How do you like the result?
