Time Flies by Lori Woods

Hello creative friends! I adore the colours in Finnabair’s new Time Travellers collection. I wanted to focus on the time aspect for this project and of course, Finnabair has the perfect clock faces mould! I also wanted to create a little pun on the idea of time flying so created elements with clocks and wing moulds.

I started by attaching the decoupage paper to the background and then used Golden Dust paste through one of the new stencils. I created a composition of mould pieces, colouring each group with different colours from the wax set.

I used liquid acrylic paints and mica powders to give some depth to the moulds and then added some Crushed Ice paste around the edges. To finish off I picked ephemera for each frame.

Steam and Frost canvas by Kasia Salmanowicz

Hello,

Among the NEW releases from Finnabair is a fantastic set that I've already had the pleasure of working with. I created a project based primarily on the new products, with the addition of a few essential mixed media products. And so, a canvas filled with what mixed media artists love most!

Fiber decoupage paper combined with vintage-style die cuts, plus a wonderful combination of mica powder, shimmering snow paste, and a wonderful silver paste from the Jewel Paste series, finished with three colors of wax.

The result? Matching media and papers that offer a ton of possibilities. They're fantastic to work with, and I don't really need to convince you, do I? You'll probably want to use this complete set yourself, because it would be a shame to miss out on so much creative fun.

Hugs,

Kasia Salmanowicz

Winter Reverie – Mixed Media Canvas by Margarita Shkludova

 Hello, creative friends!

Margarita Shkludova here.

Today I’m sharing a new romantic winter canvas — soft, dreamy, and a little bit magical. This piece feels like stepping into a quiet frosty evening, where warm lights meet cold air and every detail tells a tiny story.

I loved working with the new Finnabair Ephemera “Steam and Frost” — they added that perfect mix of vintage charm and winter mood. The little wings, stars, and metal flowers look so beautiful under a touch of frost. To bring even more sparkle and icy glow, I used the Mica Powder set “Pearls and Crystals.” These powders catch the light so gently, creating a soft shimmer on flowers, artificial plants, and snowy accents.

The whole scene feels like a peaceful winter dream — an angelic figure, delicate textures, glittering stars, and a hint of old-fashioned magic. A place where imagination slows down, breathes, and wanders.

I invite you to watch the video tutorial on creating this canvas. Enjoy watching!

Let this piece brings a bit of winter wonder to your day.

See you soon, friends!
