Hello creative friends! I’ve been suffering a bit of creative block recently- not because I couldn’t think of anything but because I had too many ideas in my mind! I decided to forget all my plans and started small.
I had a beautifully textured little bottle that I thought would make a lovely tiny art treasure. I started by covering it in gold metallic flakes as a base. I then added different colours of wax across the bottle to give it some depth. I then added a layer of Burnt Sienna liquid acrylic which brought everything together and added a great vintage sheen. I finished the bottle by adding some texture paste around the bottom to make it look even more aged.
I placed the bottle in an old picture frame that I gave an antique look to with watered down white gesso and impasto paint and my tiny treasure was done!
