Recently, I welcomed the new year with my project, and it's already February and Valentine's Day is approaching. I thought it was a great excuse to decorate a heart-shaped base.
At the beginning, I put a layer of white gesso, and after drying, I glued rice paper. I used Soft Matte Gel for this. After drying, I painted the surface with Clear Gesso and then I started arranging the composition.
To decorate my heart, I chose Finnabair metal embellishments, such as decorative flourishes, rustic hearts and great cabochons with letters, which I arranged in the word 'love'. I added various laces and dry sticks to the composition.
I lightly painted the whole project with liquid acrylic paint in Burnt Sienna color, and then brightened the edges with white gesso. At the end I added a beautiful metallic wax in a silver shade and a paste with glitter particles, resembling ice crystals.
