February 2022 Art Recipe

Hello friends,

February should be the last really snowy month, so we deliver you some snowy inspiration :)

____________________________________________________________________________

Our new visual moodboard consists of:

- 4 products to choose from - they are shown on the right

- colour palette - right next to the products and each colour has their own circle

- and visual inspiration in a form of several beautiful images.

It is easy to remember - things in circles are the core of the challenge (colours and products) and things in squares/rectangles are only a visual inspiration to help you get creative juices flowing.

Just to make sure, you are all well informed, we would like to let you know, that challenges will be going live each second Sunday of the month. So please do not be surprised, that Inlinkz is closed the day before. Please keep that in mind planning you are entering the challenge :) because we love your projects so much and we do not want to lose any of them!

____________________________________________________________________________

The rules are very simple. Each challenge consists of a colour palette and products. You need to stick to the colour palette and use at least 2 of the products listed in a challenge.

Products to choose from:

ArtAlchemy Metallique Paint

Mechanicals

Metallic Flakes

The colours: beige, dusty orange, light grey

If the products on your project are not easy to recognize, please add in description information, where exactly we can see them.

Challenge is open till March, 12th. The winner will be invited to be Guest Designer on our blog.

Inspiration from our team:

Hello!

Today I would like to share this upcycled display cabinet, inspired by February’s Art Recipe!

I got this little cabinet quite a while ago, started painting it in this pretty grey chalk paint - and then I ran out of inspiration for it. So off on to the - “Waiting for ideas” shelf it went. Tho it did not stay there for very long because I got it back out as soon as I saw the colours of this months mood board. Pretty greys, browns, and rusty colours.

I used metallic paints in Hazelnut and Ancient coin to paint the details and sides of the cabinet and Metallic flakes on butterfly mechanicals as well as stamps on the inside.

To get metallic flakes to stay in place and keep butterfly outline I applied gilding glue onto a stamp and stamped the glue on so then metallic flakes only stuck to the right places.

I also used some of the new Antiquing waxes (Clear and Sepia) to seal and slightly age my project.

Can’t wait to see yours!

Lots of love,

Iveta x

Hello everyone! Anastasia is here and my interpretation of February moodboard.
I was inspired by many elements. I especially wanted to include circles in my project, and the Honeycomb stencil helped me with this.  I used mix of Paper Paste and mica powder through it. I also used Diamond Rings Jewel Paste, Spring Blossom, Soft Satin, Brass Hardware Metallique Paints and Mechanicals.

Join us! We are looking forward to your wonderful projects!
Hugs, Anastasia(aka nastyalena)
