Hello friends,
Days are getting shorter, evenings are longer, leaves are falling down, rain becomes our daily companion. We use more lamps, some of us light candles. Mysteries are waiting for us in darkness and cold of deep nights... This is our mood for October.
____________________________________________________________________________
Our new visual moodboards consists of:
- 4 products to choose from - they are shown on the right
- colour palette - right next to the products and each colour has their own circle
- and visual inspiration in a form of several beautiful images.
It is easy to remember - things in circles are the core of the challenge (colours and products) and things in squares/rectangles are only a visual inspiration to help you get creative juices flowing.
Just to make sure, you are all well informed, we would like to let you know, that challenges will be going live each second Sunday of the month. So please do not be surprised, that Inlinkz is closed the day before. Please keep that in mind planning your entering the challenge :) because we love your projects so much and we do not want to lose any of them!

This month Guest Designer is Yulya Chorna
Hello everyone! It is the first time I’m sharing my work in this blog and I’m so thrilled to be a guest designer. For this occasion I prepared a decorated canvas.
For my background I decided to use “Manor blue” and “Cobalt” impasto. I layered them with a rubber roller. Then with a palette knife I applied gold paste and after that added some metallic flakes.
Also I used stencil to make my background more interesting.
In my composition I used different elements, such as mechanical figures from Finnabair molds, vellum, AB studio paper and foil.
In the end I added some art stones and stamps.

Inspiration from our team:
Hello, friends!
October's mood board inspired me to create a small fairytale panel. It's only 11 cm in size and took less than an hour to create. I rarely do such quick projects and this time I realized how much fun it is. Just 1 hour and every day you can try different colors, hone mixed media techniques and just relax.
First, I covered the background with Black Heavy Gesso. I used Blue Opal Jewel Effect Paste for the top of the background and Sparkling Metallic Flakes for the bottom. I glued the flakes with my fingers using Gliding Glue. Then I gave the background a more mysterious look by adding some Dark Velvet Metallique Paint and Black Impasto Paint diluted with water.
After all the paints were dry, I put together a multi-layered composition. I used Mechanicals, clay figurines, berries and flowers. I made clay figurines using molds from Finnabair and Prima Marketing. I covered them with Black Heavy Gesso, added some pearl sprays and highlighted the texture with Vintage Gold Wax. I glued the decor using Heavy Body Gel.
At the end of the work, I added some Golden Nugget Paste, Dark Velvet Metallique Paint and glitter. You can also create a small project and participate in our challenge. Add your work, I'll be happy to see.

Hello crafty friends!
The October Moodboard is amazing! Definitely fabulous combination of imaged, colors and products!
I love all kind of lanterns so when I saw them in the Moodboard I knew immediately that is what I'm going to do.
I wanted to achieve the effect of light inside the lantern, but not on transparency, the Tiger Orange Liquid Acrylic paint on the paper was just perfect for that. For the texture on the lantern I've mixed 2 Jewel effect-pastes: Crushed Amber and Golden Dust.
Some of the elements were painted with Impasto paints and others with Metalique paints. All elements were rubbed with the fabulous white pearl.
Last step was to add the incredible Phoenix effect paste on some elements and near them; the look when it dries is really gorgeous!
Looking forward to seeing your creations for this month!
Xoxo

Hello friends!
For this months Art Recipe inspiration post I have this little installation to present!
I used Gold Jewel Effect paste through stencil on the inside of the moon, and outer edges, as well as a on the base star.
Metallic Flakes in gold were perfect for making the stars stand out and of course a little bit (ok, maybe a lot hehe) of glitter to make them shiny and sparkly!
I used Sparks paints in Night Shadow and Dragons Eye to paint the metal elements and the baby reindeer.
Of course, I had to finish it all off with a good dash of metallic micro beads, Art Pebbles and some Magic Potion Effect paste to make the whole thing even more migical and here we are!
Another celestial piece to add to the collection!
Hope to see your entries in to the challenge!
Lots of Love, Iveta xx
