Hi mixed media fans! Anastasia is here with new bright project.
I wanted to decorate the cover of my art journal and exactly in red color. One more obligatory condition (for myself) was to create surface with vintage look. To get this I've used various acrylic paints - Poppy Red Impasto paint, Carmine and Burnt Sienna Liquid paint and Charcoal Black matte wax at the end.
To create pattern, I've used Crushed Amber Jewel Effect paste from latest release through Oriental Wall stencil.
I love the idea to use plastic packaging for shaker and realize it in this project. I've used part of the large frame from Grungy Frames mould as a bowl of the fountain. All surface of packaging and around it I've decorate with elements from Rusty pipeline, Birds and Bats moulds.
All these elements I've covered with Black Gesso and then added one of my favorite products - waxes. For the elements that form a frame around the shaker, I've used Bronze Age, Old Silver metallic waxes and Patina Green matte wax. For elements of pipeline, I've used Rich Copper and a little bit of Old Silver waxes.
As a decorative elements I've also used gears, wings, metal flowers(actually only one that I separated on three ) and leaves from Finnabair series Mechanicals.
All details you’ll find in video tutorial.
xoxo, Anastasia
