  1. I always spray a little bit of water after using my pastes, put a food foil and close it really tight and of course I store them upside down. I had problem only with blue patona and since then I do all this and everything is fine. So, now I keep my fingers crossed until friday, I won’t let go so I assume my boyfriend is cooking diner for next two days ;)) Wish me luck!

  4. I always give them one or two spritzers of water. Best is to keep a spritzer whit boiled water to be sure you get no mould. Store them out of the sun. Have my rustpaste for over a year and it works wonder ful.

  9. These products can be kept moist by not leaving the lid off for extended periods of time, by storing them upside down, by giving a little spritz of water before closing container. Better yet use it up and get more. 😊😊😊

  12. Unfortunately I miss all the translation of the video to know how to keep the mediums long. For my part no medium is never lost, there are always tricks, mine is that once opened a jar, I put food film on it again and I leave it until the end of the pot. This prevents this dries quickly. And if it dries a little, just add a little water and mix well. Nothing is really lost there is always a solution to everything. Thank you Anna for the luck you give to win these great products. Fingers crossed.

Also can add spitz of water before sealing. I do appreciate that you are looking at a new design for the lid to help with this too. Fingers crossed!!!!

  24. Hi Anna, thank you so much for this awesome giveaway! I’m so in love with your products and these new colours are gorgeous! To best store you can spritz with a little water after use, place plastic wrap over the jar before closing the lid up tightly and store upside down. I also use glycerine with distilled/demineralised water to reactivate any pastes that have dried out. It takes a little work but it’s worth it as they perform perfectly. No need to throw them out at all

Bless you Anna for doing a give away. Always you care about your customers xxx

    ReplyDelete
  46. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a give away!
So I do all the above plus I have one extra mini mister with a bit of water and glycerin in it. I shake it really well and spritz in the jar before storing. I Usually use the lied of the jar as a palette take with my palette knife the amount I think I will need and put it there. So I have the jar closed. Sometimes it depends on the label printing some labels faint of or their color mixes with the paint.( I have seen that also on the modeling paste the color of the label was going in the paste). I think that doing these steps help me to save them from drying out and play with them longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Anna for the chance to winn fingers crossed!!!

I recently heard that you can get plumblers tape, used to seal pipes well, run that along the top edge of container and put the lid back on - I want to try this next. Thank you for the opportunity to create and win!!

  61. I would so much love to win these amazing new products! I'm actually new to Finnabair products, so I don't have so many of them, but with those I have, I had never a problem with drying, but we live in an area, where we have lake and rain, so maybe, it helps. I also put the lid tide, and I never throw the seal that is under the lid away, I always keep it on the jars. It also helps to store them upside down or to spray a bit of water inside the jars.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I use water, either mixed in or sprayed on top.

  65. I take a bit of medium I need for work and put it into a separate smaller jar, so I can use it while I work on the particular project, and the rest of medium sits tight sealed on the shelves, not disturbed by staying opened for some time while I am busy creating. Just like we use the palettes for paints)

I love your new product release: richness of colors...variety..and those wonderful gems♡ to prevent products from dry it is helpful to store them upside down, put a string of paper roll or washi around the cap tap. 85. I’m as excited as you are about this new line, the color combinations are gorgeous. The art mediums should be stored upside down to keep as much air out. You should use the barrier between the lid & jar of paint, or you can use some plastic. If the mediums are getting too thick, a light spray of water can also be added before closing the lid.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Congrats on a great new release! Storing them upside down is a great tip and adding mineral water so there is no mold issue. Thanks for the chance to win, Autumn

  88. OMG!!!! This is such fantastic giveaway. I love everything about Finnabair.
Thank you so much for sharing such amazing tips and concepts about how to maintain our so precious art medium. As being microbiologist, I always use boiled, and clean water to give them one or two spritzers of water, which definitely makes it out of mould and any type of microbial contamination. I keep all bottles tightly packed. Store all of them on ambient temperature. I bought my rust paste and patina pastes since I started my crafting, for over a year and all work wonderful.
I love them all and really excited to many more.

  105. Love the products, and the hints I received for the giveaway are to closely tighten the lids and store upside down. The rust paste textures may need a spritz of water, and I think they all might beneifit from a spritz of water when needed, covering with a plastic wrap, even a seal of glycerin. I would love the built in inspiration of using these products, and thanks to the video I believe I am ready to jump in and try them. 109. OMG! Would love to win these, I am a huge fan of your products. I have some waxes and paint but none of the opal magic yet. I didn't know about storing them upside down, what a great tip. For my mediums I use plastic wrap before putting the lid on.

  111. I have found out the hard way...close the lid tightly! I have wasted so many expensive containers of texture paste this way.

  112. I watched the video avidly when it came out, and was hoping that my local scrapbooking store would have them in stock when I was there on Tuesday, but alas not.

The tip you shared to help keep the mediums from drying out was to store them upside down.

    Fingers crossed!

  116. To keep the product moist we close the jar tight and store it upside down so that even lesser air gets in

  119. Oooh... new products are amazing! a few days ago I had a dream about how I worked with a new paste)))How to keep the mediums dry? it is very good to close the lid))) And do not keep the jar long open when you work. Sometimes you can add some water if the manufacturer allows

  121. Love, love 💕 all of your products. I am obsessed. I close my jars well, add a little spritz of water if it starts feeling a little dry.

  122. After use I always spray a bit of distilled water and mix. Making sure around the edges of my jars are clean and then I apply lid tightly and store upside down. I've only had the drying happen once with my brown rust paste and ever since then I have taken a bit more care and haven't experienced any problems.

  123. Fantastic colours. To keep them fresh: Close the lid, and keep the plastic circle inside the lid on. Store them up side down. You can also add some water or glycerine :)

  124. If they are stored upside down and with the extra inside lid on they stay moist longer. You can also sprinkel a little water in the paste before closing the lid.

  128. I think the products are already designed by the manufacturers so they do not dry out. But I take care of all the mix media products that you used is to carefully clean the thread and the lid before closing it. That's enough, because they actually dry with the bacteria that are in the air, so the product that was on the air was not cleaned. is in contact with what is inside that is from my experience in several of the many mix media products that I normally use. I know it's already closed. but I wanted to leave my opinion. Very good week for all.

  129. Woweee! I have 3 art alchemy paints and love them !!! Best way to keep them from drying infuessnisnto keep the seal, make sure jar is well closed. I’ve had my rust paste, all my mediums for quite a long time and they are all still good to use. No drying up. Of course I do t contaminate products - always use a clean brush ♥️

  132. Oh no I missed the give away but that’s ok I think I’m going to share anyway, these colors are just too gorgeous not to. As someone who lives in the very dry high desert of Southern California, I’m happy to say I’ve never had a problem with your products drying out on me. It’s very easy to prevent that from happening, all you have to do is make just sure when your finished using it, just close the lids thightly sonthey are nice and snug then simply store them upside down. This not only ensures it won’t dry out because now the air can’t get in but it also lets you see more of the products beautiful colors, though I admit it at times it maybe be more challenging when you need to just select one color. Finnabair thank you once again for sharing your magical creativity and inspiring people around the world, it has definitely made it a much more colorful and beautiful place. Also I just can’t wait to get my hands on these and try them all out!
