  1. Although I had played with paint all my life, I was late to the Mixed Media Party. Now, Mixed Media is my passion and therapy and it all started after I was online and discovered a fabulous piece of art from serveral years past called 'Wanderer', an industrial collage! Thank you Finnabair for each and every bit of glorious inspiration you have shared with me and all your fans. You are truly my Inspiration!

  5. Congratulations on all your continued success!! All of your creations always inspire me, but one thing that comes to mind when I read your question is the couple of art journal pages you shared back in the spring for art journaling on the go or on your lap. Ive been guilty in the past of packing many art supplies for vacation and never used it all. I found I would reach for the same things any way. So after reading your post, I decided to limit to a very small amount to travel with me. It works and it's amazing what you can create with a small choice. :)

  9. What luscious goodies!! I loved the sea themed projects over on the Prima blog, but the one I most remember is a gumball machine redone into a pearl dispenser. I have a couple of mini gumball machines and am waiting for the time to go try to imitate it - it was spectacular!! (as are ALL of the projects I've seen with your fab goodies!!) I can't wait to finally get my hands dirty and try some of your products and techniques!

  10. Your post on upcycling a paintbrush has stayed with me, so much so that I've done 3 of them and plan on doing more! I'm also upcycling an old tea pot using your patina & rust pastes along with art stones & other goodies! Mixed media rocks & I've been inspired to start my own blog & enter challenges - even design my own ink stamps! Thanks for your products & being a trailblazer for others out there!

  13. The altered wooden horse you did about 3 years ago really hit home for me and started me on my mixed media journey. Seeing you take something already beautiful and turn it into a glorious piece of stunning art had me hooked. That little video took my creativity to a whole new level and started me down a new road in life that I am immensely thankful for.

  22. I think that the art piece that inspired me the most was the first Finnabair piece that I ever saw. It was a simple layout containing a photo of her face but set against a simple but dramatic background in an understated finnabair style. I can't recall what the post was but it sticks in my memory of a piece of stylised art that I aspire to.

  37. I just recently started venturing into Mixed Media world after creating cards for years. And your line of products and materials are by far the nicest to work with. Some of them are almost magical, You should've seen my face and hear my 'oh wow, I can do magic' when I used the opal magic paint for the first time, lol. My boyfriend thought I went crazy and maybe inhaled a bit to much glue and glitter ;). I love the way you connect art and creative people all over the world, thank you for being such an inspiration <3!
It's hard to choose from all those different projects and styles but I think 'Symphony in black and White' was one of the first pieces I saw and it made me rethink the whole 'I'm only doing cards' thing ;).

I'd been trying for ages to get these effects, and failed, but you helped me grasp it and I'm so grateful for that! Thank you for sharing all the inspiration and techniques from both yourself and your design team! Hope you continue to gain many more followers and I look forward to doing a weekend of classes with you (and TheMadScrapper) in Edinburgh very soon! x

  50. Congrat on the 10,000 facebook members. Sharing is such a fun thing to do. I like the art recipes that are posted each month. Sometimes there are combinations I haven't thought of or tried yet. And I like Sandra Reynolds you tubes. I watch them each time they are posted. I have been slowly gathering the new paints. I watched a video that explained all the differences between the paints and I found that most helpful. thanks as always for sharing.

  52. My art journal, mixed media and, shopping saved videos are full of your videos and those by your design team. While I find inspiration from project videos, the Art Basics help me learn how to use your products. The Soft Gelatos Resist Art Journal YT video is one of my favorites. This is where I learned how to use the gel to protect images between layers.

  53. Too many of course. One is the Steampunk box by Linda Cain. I can't get enough of the Finnabair products - gorgeous colours!
