Chase Your Dreams - for Words & Paintery

Hi there, Friends!
Today I'd like to share a layout of mine that I created for a fantastic inspirational challenge blog called Words & Paintery.
It was such an honor and great pleasure to be their Creative Guest!
The challenge this month is a creative interpretation of a beautiful quote by Marylin Monroe's + a sweet, quite girly color palette. Check out all the challenge details and join in the fun - there's time till April 16th.

This challenge was a great chance for me to finally try beautiful "Verano Azul" papers from 7 Dots Studio. I got them a while ago and never had a moment to really play with them...
In general, I love almost plain, a bit distressed background papers so the delicate wooden pattern of "White Plank" was a perfect start for me!

I decided to build many layers - starting with Art Basics Modeling Paste and a new Prima Foliage stencil with a pretty, intricate floral pattern and then following with tons of paper scraps, cheesecloth and finally - white wire. My plan was to make a composition similar to a bird's nest - and I really like the final result.

I just LOVE Art Stones and Mini Art Stones and I could put them almost on everything, but here they really show their beauty: amazing textures of tiny stones coloured with gesso and spray paints simply stole my heart.

Following the color palette was easy - I had my favorite Art Basics Heavy White Gesso and Lindy's Sprays ready on the table so I could repaint my Mechanicals Stars... and just a little bit of black paint splashes was a perfect touch, don't you think?

Here is the list of products I used - all from Mixed Media Place Store:

I hope you'll find my layout inspiring and join in this great challenge by Words & Paintery.
Happy creating!
