Hi again my dear friends!
It is such a busy time for me now: as my life is all between travelling, getting ready for the classes, working on samples and... one more important thing which may finally happen after long months of waiting and stressing (exciting change for me and Andrew - but I can't tell more yet as we don't want to give a chance to bad luck ;)). I just believe nothing ever in my life will be as people usually have it: I'm constantly on the go, sailing from one shore to another on a changing wind... and I'm so blessed I'm able to do it!
Let me say it in simple words: I'm able to have my crazy life as it is thanks to you all - my students and my followers. You made it all happen showing me support, love, and trust which is the best fuel not only for me but also for my Creative Team - they all love seeing you coming to this blog, FB Page and Instagram - and they are thrilled to see you visiting their private blogs too - thank you so much for that!
I was wondering what would be the good way to show some gratefulness... and then I had this moment of enlightenment - GIVEAWAY of course! Last week I was posting Technique Video about Art Ingredients Opal Magic Mica Powders - so wouldn't that be a good idea to give you a chance to win a set now?
OK, so how to take part in the Blog Giveaway and have a chance to be a lucky winner getting all of my products you can see on the picture above?
I'd like you to check my You Tube Channel here, watch the video about Opal Magic Mica Powders and let me know in the coment below this post which way of using them you like the most?
If you like the content - how about subscribing to it? Hm?
I will randomly pick the winner on Tuesday night, after midnight of my local time and the name will be announced in the Wednesday blogpost, on 28th October 2015. Good luck!
P.S.
In this place I'd like also to send huge thanks to my Creative Team Members and CT Coordinator: you are the best support, source of inspiration and overflowing talent. You are everything I could dream of and as I know I don't tell you that enough: you are so appreciated. I'm grateful for the moment when I met you all and I'm so thrilled we are working on this team together. I believe in every single one of you - and I hope you believe in me. I wish you all the best and I can't wait for the next year of this crazy ride with you all!
Sending you ALL warmest hugs and waiting to read your Giveaway answers

I have never felt more at home or appreciated than I do on this amazing Finnabair Creative Team. They are THE BEST, and I love them all. But we could not do it without Anna and our wonderful Team Leader Eliza. Hugs to everyone!!!
ReplyDeleteI liked the use of Mica Powders in modeling paste the best!! The hot embossing is my next favorite use. They're so shimmery!!
ReplyDeleteLove the effect with the gel medium...although they all looked great! Love the shimmer of this product. Thanks for the chance to win such a fabulous prize :)
ReplyDeleteLove the mica powder when you put it into the water....great looking colors on the black gesso! Wonderful colors.
ReplyDeleteI like to use mica in mix media projects and on cards .
ReplyDeleteThe best part is that they can mixes in both spray and gel medium, and they do not mix into a brown substans if you use more than 1 coller
Hi, i'd love to enter the contest!!
ReplyDeleteThe only way i've ever really used the Mica powders in art is by brushing them on dry; but I am so excited to try out the spray version! I'd never thought about creating my own perfect colours by mixing them by myself - and these colours you are showing in the video are just stunning!!
Another way I enjoy using the mica powders is by mixing a small amount with some lipgloss - it can create the most beautiful shimmering lipgloss colours that i'm not able to find in stores!
Take care!
Emma W
These are amazing!!! I must get them asap! I love all of the effects but my fave was when you put them in the spray bottle and sprayed on heart and flower absolutely georgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh I would love to try all of these yummy products. I think the opal magic on black cardstock really shows its true colors, I would be happy to give it a try when I win this giveaway, lol Muah
ReplyDeleteSo many ways to use them but I love mixing with gel. And on dark surfaces. Love them.
ReplyDeleteI saw your video a few days ago right after you posted it. Now I have to find the Opal Magic Mica Powders! I like that there are so many ways to use them, but my favorite is with the Art Basics Soft Gel. I've been using this technique with my Mica Powders and love that I get permanent color. Would love to have the new Opal powders!!
ReplyDeleteSo many ways to use them, but I prefer mixing them with gel. And on dark surfaces. Love them all.
ReplyDeleteMy favorit must be 3d gel and opal mica. Or mix it with water. Hmmm no wait.......I loved everything. I need every colour
ReplyDeleteHaving been taught how to dry brush with them building layers for a magical effect, it has to be that. I have 2 but NEED the rest x
ReplyDeleteOh Anna...I love all the techniques with these products, but I think my best is mixing Opal Magic Mica Powders with Art Basics Soft Gel.
ReplyDeleteI have done it with my favorite Rust Mica Powder and the result was amazing!!!
Never knew you could mix them with souvh stuff. I have been mixing the coloredica powders with gels and pastes and sprinkling on hot EP and I love it all. I have not yet made my own spray yet, that's next... My fave so far I think is gel - heavy gel and leaving peaks and texture. That enhances the colors even more. Love the colored mica powders and can't wait to try the opal powders!!!
ReplyDeleteI liked ALL OF the video, so much I shared it on my page...But my personal favorite was brushing on the powder over the embossed stamped image...
ReplyDeleteBut again I LOVE THEM ALL
Thanks for everything you do to inspire us
You and your DT are the best! Love all the inspiration, thanks so much! I really want to make the mica spray and try them with embossing. So stunning!~kim
ReplyDeleteSuch a yummy giveaway. Have yet to try mica powders so I loved the varied ways they can be used, I love the idea of mixing in water to make my own shimmer sprays & loved another ladies idea of mixing some in lip gloss.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is mixing the 3-D gels with the Opal Magic mica powders. So shimmery, especially on black backgrounds. Soft gloss gel and Opal Magic is delightful:) I would LOVE to win the Opal Magic Mica Powders and experiment some more. The powders really bring your projects to the next level. One question though: why are all the Opal Magic Mica Powders white in the jar???? Just curious:) Great video Anna:)
ReplyDeleteI think mixing them with other mediums like gel and gesso is awesome as well I loved how you clear inked, then brushed it onto the black card/mouldings/flowers, so gorgeous. Oh and mixing with water and spritzing, oh I love everything about them! Seeing the colour so brilliantly, I'm going to be looking for these at our next craft fair in Sydney Australia next weekend for sure!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this Giveway I think My favorit is with Water and also on the black background. TFS your Talent and your Team:)
ReplyDeleteI love it so much on black!! Wow! I wish to win! <3
ReplyDeleteI love the use of opal mica powder in gel to paint metal, ceramic, and other embellishments, like on the gorgeous piece at the end.
ReplyDeleteI just love your opal mica - dry brushing probably comes out tops at the moment, but when I've had time to play, that will probably change! They are so flexible. Xxx
ReplyDeleteI haven't ever used Mica Powders but I love the effect of mixing it with water and spraying. If I won I'd definitely be trying that technique.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this opportunity!!!!! I think my favorit used is with water and on the black background. TFS your talent and your team to:)
ReplyDeleteWould love to experiment with these, mixing them with gel medium would be my first adventure.
ReplyDeleteOh My Gosh those are fabulous! I really like the dry brushing and making a spray with them onto black gesso WOWZERS!!!
ReplyDeletewow, i loved how you mixed it with the modelling paste but then you added it to water so now i'm torn between those 2 ways of using it. Amazing product
ReplyDeleteMust try the modelling paste technique, how fascinating.
ReplyDeleteMy #1 is where you mixed it with water... uh purple shimmer ♥
ReplyDeleteIt would be an honour to win these delicious things :D

Hi and thanks for the chance to win :) I am booked on to two of your workshops in feb and can't wait. The way i like best is making a sprites with them and adding them to texture paste, all great fun :) :) xx
ReplyDeleteI have never used mica powders before. Thanks for the inspiration on the many ways they can be used. I loved when you used them to alter the colours of the embellishments. Like others, prefer them on the black best.
ReplyDeleteI love them all but my favorite is to mixing them with water and spraying on a black surface. Would love to try the new Opal Magic Mica Powders.
ReplyDeleteI love the effect when you made a paint of them and dry brushed them onto the objects.
ReplyDeletethey are truly beautiful, cant wait to try the spray on my mixed media projects but will also be trying them on my polymer clay vases
ReplyDeleteI love the video and all of the uses for this beautiful mica powder. The effect on black is stunning while the effect on white is softly beautiful. I really love dry brushing them but use them in many different ways. Thanks for your generosity with this giveaway, I'd love to be the lucky winner.
ReplyDeleteFinnabair, you are the Queen of Mixed Media! Love the Mica Powders!!! I especially love the look of it mixed in with the glossy gel! Adore! Thank you so much for all tips and the contact inspiration AND the generous giveaway!!! :)

ReplyDeleteThe mica powders are gorgeous effects for any journaling/card making/etc, ideas. Though I love all the ideas, and can see them all being used to great effectiveness, I think my favorite is the sprays and how it just blends on the dark paper (or black gesso) to create such shimmer. Then, I also liked the Gel Medium use as a paint. Oh, and I can't forget the embossing. Hmm, well, maybe I can't actually pick a favorite as they are all great ideas.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your great videos and ideas to help inspire others. And congratulations
I had no idea it was so versatile. I love the adding it to water and using as a spray. I also want to try brushing it on after embossing, that is such a beautiful effect!
ReplyDeleteI like the mica powders on every black surface you show, especially on the black gessoed relic ornement. Gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteFirst off, thank you for making the tutorial. I never would have come up with all those ideas on my own. I guess my favorite technique is to mix the power with the soft gel medium to create paint. Genius! I can't wait to get my hands on all of them, my painty fingers are crossed.
ReplyDeleteMixed with gel medium over black gesso. LOVE!
ReplyDeleteAnna, As you don't say more I only can imagine your "really great change" in your life. But whatever it may be I cross my fingers very strong for Andrews and you.
ReplyDeleteAbout Mica powders for me the best results are on dark surface, you use it with gel medium, I use it a little differently, but... on dark surface it's explosive.
I use mica powder since long long time, now I use yours and they are A MUST HAVE for me. thank you for those so original coulours.
I just want to own one of everything you used!!! I want to get messy! It's so hard to pick but I have to admit that when you mixed the mica powder and water and made that gorgeous iridescent mist and then sprayed it on black? that purple made my eye light up like a Christmas tree!! Thank-you for making such wonderful products!
ReplyDeleteFinn, your products are so versatile! You can mix them with a lot of materials. My favorite is the mixture with gel medium. I like to apply layer after layer in all kinds of material and decide when to stop. It is pure fun.
ReplyDeleteI saw your video and I actually put these opals down on my list to get. I also was inspired by the paint brush one of your team just did. I like to use it best in gel medium to spread on backgrounds, but I'm looking at how else I can use it after seeing your video. I would love to win these.
ReplyDeleteWow! Beautiful product! I like when it is mix with gel medium or modelling paste.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful product. I love that it is so versatile and can be mixed with so many mediums but I think my favourite is with the gels. It sure pops against a dark background. Thanks for the inspiration and your generosity,
ReplyDeleteWonderfully generous give away. I like the modeling paste. I haven't tried this brand of mica. So, I will be looking for it from my supplier!. You and your team are always doing the most intriguing projects. Keep smiling and creating one and all!!
ReplyDeleteI love all the ways you used them BUT i think my favorite is the soft gloss gel method but a close runner up is the drybrushing on the embellishments! Definitely must haves! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is when you mix powder with gel medium. I love effect on black backgrounds. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI loved the idea of spraying the mica but would love to try the powders with the other mediums. 😎
ReplyDeleteI think using these incredible powders in molding paste and any of the gels would be the favorite for me. Using them in stencils would just make a canvas or scrapbook page pop.
ReplyDeleteMy fave is the iridescent spray! Especially on top of black. The purple mixture on black would make a beautiful "galaxy" piece! So inspiring :)
ReplyDeleteFirst I love the background music! Now as to which is my favorite way to use it. Well that is hard to say since I believe I would really like to tryout as many techniques as possible. I like the fact that you can use them on embossing and mixing into modeling paste. They would be my first experiments. I love your products! So very creative.
ReplyDeleteI love the effect by mixing them in modeling paste or gel.
ReplyDeleteI didn't expect to like these as much as the metallics, but they are wonderfully luminous! My fave way to use from the video was with Soft Gel making a paint. Second fave was as a mist.
ReplyDeleteWould love to use these with dry brushing and mixing in gel in a close second adding them to some projects with metal would give such a kewl effect thanks for the chance
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love iridescent sprays? Everything looks good on black!
ReplyDeleteMica Powders is so pleasant to use, the result is magical especially the white pearly hue and peach it's funny we do not expect this result when there pschitt in color level ! very fun !!!!
ReplyDeleteI luv each and every technique, it all depends on the project or object i am working with. I really admire all your work i am a big fan...
ReplyDeleteA great informative video! I think my favorite was mixing with gel. I was also glad to learn about the gesso.. Thanks for that tip. This is a great prize and I would love to win.
ReplyDeleteHard to decide which one I like the best but think it is mixing in the soft gel. As soon as I get my report cards done, I want to try a black gesso canvas. Think I will like them even better than the white ones. I will experiment with the different ways of using mica powders then.
ReplyDeleteLove these products and colors! I love the powders with the gel and would love to experiment using this mixture on my polymer clay jewelry. The wonderful texture and colors would be so striking on black clay!!
ReplyDeleteHow can I possibly pick just one!?. I love to use mica powders on Prima white flowers. The Opal effects will be truly magical! My heart skipped a beat when I saw the WOW bonding powder effect. It is all so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like all techniques but I particuly love on black embellishments. I'm exciting since your classes in Réunion island. Andrew is working on my order and I'm so impatient like a little child for Christmas :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd don't worry I'm sure your dream will come true soon. You'll succeed with Andrew in spite of your "crazy life". Kisses from Réunion
Mixing them with gesso was my favorite because I love doing "wonky houses" and the effects would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteLike all methods of application! But efeect on a dark stunning!!! Thanks for this Giveway!
ReplyDeleteAll techniques are nice... I like when it's mix with modelling paste.

Now I have to search where to get them in Germany....
Hugs, Sabine
I love the way it shimmered purple on your hand right at the beginning like a butterflies wing. I can't wait to experiment with this stuff. I liked the way it looked on the black items the most as it shows up more. Though the subtle shimmer it gave on the white items and paper is just so soft and beautiful. The versatility of this powder is mind blowing! Please bring some with you next week to South Africa!
ReplyDeleteI like the versatility of this product. If I had to choose one, I think with the embossingt paste is my favorite, but I love all the techniques... I love the subtle effect you get on white as well as the stark colors on black.
ReplyDeleteI haven't used the mica powder yet but hope that this giveaway will give me the chance to do so!;)

ReplyDeleteI've been watching your posts for awhile, not long, but long enough to love what I see here and am doing the cover of my first altered book (to have a cover 'done') as I've been too afraid of messing them up. But after what I've seen here I'm feeling brave and am trying out some techniques somewhat like I've seen here, although I don't have a lot of supplies I've been making do. I loved what I saw done with those mica powders and I'd just love to win this give-away. Thanks for the inspirations.

ReplyDeleteThank YOU for being such an inspiring artist and sharing your work, techniques and products with us!
I really love all of your products...
My favourite techniques for the Mica powder is mixing them with light paste and applying with a stencil on my layouts (LOVE light paste by the way, it is almost like somekind of mousse and therefore so perfect for blending), and I like drubrushing mica powders (mixed with soft gloss gel) for my mixed media projects.
The opal magics are really MAGICAL....Thank you for sharing this great video!
The powders are beautiful! All techniques were great, but I guess my favourite was applying the powder with hot embossing. The result was very subtle but absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED the effect of the dry brushing with soft gel, but the 1st technique I would try would definitely be to apply dry to heat embossed stamp images. Very beautiful products as always
ReplyDeleteI love the effect with the gel medium and the wonderful effect on black backgrounds!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win such a fabulous prize!

ReplyDeleteI watched your video last week and have been longing for some ever since. I just love the way that you can use them with so many different mediums. Making them such a very handy and versatile product to have on my craft desk! Out of all of the different ways to use them if I had to pick one it would be how wonderfully it works with texture paste and gel medium. I would never have thought of adding to gel medium it's inspired! It would be wonderful to win these and save me a bit of money to spend on other Finnabair products 😉

Hi Anna,
ReplyDeleteI love your Prima products and it's great to see all the different ways we can use Magic Opal micas.
As I have lots of your Prima stencils, mixing the micas with gel medium is a great idea to use with these.
Anything called Opal Magic is a must have in my craft stash as I love anything opalescent and magical! Thanks for the chance to win. Wishing you a magical day! :)
I love mixing mica powders with gel medium to get a lovely shimmery glossy finish. One of my favourite 'mistakes' was using this to cover chipboard alphas and then overheating with the heat gun which caused bubbling....loved the effect so use it again and again. Really enjoyed your video as I've now learnt to use them as a spray.Thank you for the opportunity to win a great prize.
ReplyDeleteReally just ONE way I like to use them??? I like to use them a couple of ways, but I think my go to the most is to mix them with mediums like your matte gel and add it to everything. I think I am a bit obsessed lol but I guess that is the point. thanks for the opportunity to win.
ReplyDeleteWow!! Where to start you can do so much with these powders. They are now on my wishlist!!
ReplyDeleteLove the spray and light texture paste i really love to try this gr miranda
First I would mix these with different mediums. There´s really many ways to use Mica´s.
ReplyDeleteI'd really like to try the dry brush technique first, but of course I really want to try it all!
ReplyDeleteI would like to give a big shout out to your VERY CREATIVE Design Team Fin! They are such a talented group of folks whose art I totally love seeing on a regular basis! Can't wait for a new year of awesome designing! Congrats on the Opal Magic Mica Powders!! As always, your products can be used in such a variety of ways, which is the big score with them! I think my favorite showed in the videos is probably using as a "spray" or I totally loved using in the 3D gel! EVERYTHING looks great in 3D gel!! LOL Can't wait to give them a whirl! Thanks for the opportunity to win! :)

ReplyDeleteWoW!!! Another wonderful product for us to play with. I originally thought I liked mixing the Opal Magic Mica Powders with the Art Basics Light Paste but then when you used them mixed with Water to create a spray, that was awesome. The one I would liked the best though was mixing the mica powder with the gel and brushing on the dark surfaces the BEST!!. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely thing to say and remember. I love making sprays with the powders, nothing is safe from altering in the house creativel, even the doggies run and hide when they see me with the spray bottles
ReplyDeleteI love ALL the ways to use these! They combine two of my favorite elemnets...opal and metallic!! Better than diamonds in my opinion~ My favorite way is the dry brushing but I will have to try them all because we all need more Magical in our lives!!! Thanks for sharing and the metals look like so much fun!!! Fingers crossed!!
ReplyDeleteI actually watched this video the other day because I have some of this magic product 😉.
ReplyDeleteI will probably use it on darker products, although in person light projects probably give super great shine.
I know I will add to 3d medium gel for sure and make a spray. I don't know - I will try all of it.
My favorite recipe with mica powder is with 3D gloss gel !!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of the Mica Powder on dark backgrounds the BEST! WOW, how it made it pop. I love the ability for the multi-use in multi-based products.
ReplyDeleteI just ordered the Blue and am excited to try it out. I would love to win the give-away. All the products are so great to work with.
I love using them in water as sprays but I am going to add them to my translucent gel and UTEE to get different effects. I can see so many more possibilities since watching your video....thanks for expanding my creativity!
ReplyDeleteI love your youtube videos, they give me so much confidence & inspire me. The possibilities with your products are endless! I love everything you showed. I love that you show the results of the same mix recipie on both light & dark surfaces. I love the haunting enchantment of the mica powders giving light to the dark surfaces. It sings to me. The iridescence gives me a heART & soul sparkle. I love re using my empty jars & misting spray bottles to mix your products. Good tip on gesso first & sealing your work with the gel varnish or spray fixative.
ReplyDeleteI have done all of these techniques with other mica powders but, none as beautiful as yours! Have to say my favorite is the hot embossing.
ReplyDeleteIt was a magical video. I enjoyed looking at all the techniques and My favorite is the embossing one. the butterflies were just gorgeous and I would love to try this.
ReplyDeleteThe gloss gel technique takes the embellishments to a new level. The comparison on dark vs. light backgrounds was helpful.
ReplyDeleteNow I have a new product to add to my growing list of products in your line that I have not been able to try. I love all of your products and appreciate you taking the time to share so many techniques with us through your videos. I think I would probably use them powders with gel the most but I am dying to try them with some ice resin.
ReplyDeleteI love adding them to water for spraying over black gesso, but the hot embossing... I am dying to try that! Your work is phenomenal and you are an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI have three colors of Magicals, so far.....have tried dry, with gel medium and modeling paste. I love the results of all of them, so hard to pick 'just one'.....
ReplyDeleteI even bought sticky embossing powder to try next. Would love to win so that I can try more colors and techniques. Thank you.
I love the mica spray onto the black background. So effective. I got so many ideas just from that one part of the video. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love to see your and your team's works, they really inspire me to try new things. I just started with mixed media and I love it! Those new powders really give some magic to dark backgrounds! I would mix it with Light paste, because I looove that paste. :D I would also like to try that stuff with polymer clay and make nice decorations for my projects.
ReplyDeleteIn watching the video this looks like a very fun product to use in so many ways! I think I liked where you added it to the water & sprayed it & also mixed with the soft gel! Those seemed to have the brightest results, which I liked!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI liked the use of Mica Powders in modeling paste!
Good luck!
Wow, that violet on the black is just awesome. All the techniques are great but the one I think I would use most often is the spray form. So simple to get the wow factor with just a spritz. Keep these wonderful products coming. Thanks
ReplyDeleteHot emboss..wow.. Love all your videos
ReplyDeleteI love the look of these and in particular I like them on the black. They look fabulous in iridescent rainbow patches on the black gesso art projects you showed at the end - I think that is the technique where it is mixed with the soft gel and brushed on! What a lovely prize. Thanks Anna x
ReplyDeleteEverything looks prettier with a bit of the opal! I love the paint with the clear gel. Actually I want to try it all! I am new to mixed media and I love your YouTube channel. This is a product I would so enjoy playing with.

ReplyDeleteНе разу не пробовала, но по вашим видео нравится горячее тиснение с липким порошком)) Хотела бы выиграть))
ReplyDeleteI thought my favorite was going to be adding the Opal mica to water for sprays. They make beautifully adaptable sprays for flowers and backgrounds. But then along came the bonding powder and heat embossing! Stunning effects! I bet the heat embossed looks gorgeous on dark card stock as shown earlier in other projects!
ReplyDeleteFantastic new product! Will I never have any money?
Thank you - Julie
Holy smoke what an awesome giveaway! It is so long between every time i get to win something, so i`m crossing both my fingers and toes, lol.
ReplyDeleteLove the look if the mica blended with 3d gloss gel and put on the black gessoed card stock. Loooove how the irredecent look pops on the black background.
I was soooo sad that i missed your class at Trøndersaksa last year. Hope you come back someday. Love your work and your products.
Hugs...Mona
I really enjoyed the video and did subscribe to your channel. I had been interested in using mica powders but was not sure exactly how to use them so the video really helped. I especially like mixing it with modeling paste and using it on a stencil but can see using multiple methods in the near future.
ReplyDeleteI just love mica powders and used the gel medium way most ! I think the new opal ones are fantastic !
ReplyDeleteCorrie x
I love the 3D gel medium with Mica powder -is great :)
ReplyDeleteI think dry brushing it onto (especially) darker surfaces is my favorite way of using it now, but all the techniques call to be tried! I'd love to win!
ReplyDeleteWow, Finn! I just love the way these new Mica powders look! My personal favourite is the mix of Soft Gloss gel and Mica using the brush to apply! It looks just as wonderful on white embellishments as on black! And the fact that it's 100% permanent is just great!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the opportunity to win all these goodies!!
Big hug, Hege
I have been a fan of you and your teams for a long time. Since texture, texture, texture is high on my list of favorites adding mica to gesso is the way I use it almost all of the time. However, after watching the video on your blog, I want to try it everyway I can. Thank you for all of the hints we receive from your teams and from you too.
ReplyDeleteWhat stunning effects and wonderful shimmer - makes everything so rich and glamorous! Am subscribed and follow already. Thanks so much for sharing so many fantastic ways of using these powders. It's hard to choose one but probably mixed in with texture paste would be my start off point. Thanks for chance to win! Nicola x
ReplyDeleteI don't have these yet but the first thing I would like to try is mixing with water and spraying them. Love your videos and all your products, you are so inspiring!!
ReplyDeleteWow! I was amazed! The video is fantastic. So many ways to use the powders and experimenting would be fun. I do mixed media canvas so I think mixing the powders with either modeling paste or gel medium would be a plus for me. I also work with polymer clays and boy would that metallic be great on my pieces! I cannot use the fixative sprays but would try hair spray as that is what I use when I use pastels. Keep up the good work. Loved the video!
ReplyDeleteLuana
Thanks for the great video of uses and ideas. My favourite use for the powders is onto black gesso'd surfaces as the colour really shows. I also like when they are mixed with matte gel to paint with. Thanks for the opportunity of winning. Debbie xx
ReplyDeleteI loved The video and I liked the use of Mica Powders in modeling paste the best.
ReplyDeleteYou are sooo talented :-)
Hugs from sweden, Johanna
My favourite was drybrushing on black gesso. A dark background brings this shimmery effect even more to life.
ReplyDeleteThese are so versatile! I love the idea of mixing it with the soft gel medium as well as dissolving in water for a pearly mist.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you can mix the opal mica powders with soft gloss gel and paint it on various surfaces. This way you have control over where the beautiful shine is applied. Keep giving us fabulous new mixed media products to play with!
ReplyDeletethese opal mica powders are amazing! I love everything you've presented at the video, but sprays on the dark surfaces is a pure magic! they're absolutely on my must-have list as I just have to try them to every medium I have :)
ReplyDeleteI love mixing mica powder with gloss gel, and really enjoys the versatility of the products. I still look at the "horse" I made in your class in Oslo and say to myself: "did I make that?" LOL
ReplyDeleteWonderful video. Very instructive and I loved seeing the exciting results of each technique. I saw two techniques that I would use right away - the heat embossing and the spray, but later I would love to try using it with the gel.
ReplyDeleteYour video was fabulous and I have been lucky enough to see you use the opal powders at a craft retreat recently.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many ways to use the powders and they all make such fabulous results. I love.mixing them with modelling paste to put through a stencil, but I have to say my favourite way is to make them into a spray.
The end result of the spraying is phenomenal, especially when you layer the colours up. I love them! Fingers crossed I win.
Good look everyone X
I really loved the spraying w/water technique, but I love the dry brushing too . . . guess I'll have to do both :)
ReplyDeleteI love all their uses but really love the idea of mixing them with modeling paste, so cool!
ReplyDeleteWowww that beauty products !!, I love to use and experiment with ellos. No and know exactly how I like more because of all forms, the result is great. Although hot and / or the Soft Gel Gloss !! I also love.

ReplyDeleteHard to choose...but I would say my favorites are Mixing it with Gel Medium and the embossing! It is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing and also doing the giveaway! Very fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat new powders and a great video showing off what they can do. I love them spritzed on the 3D elements, but most of all mixed with texture paste and through a stencil... especially on to the black background - so magical!

I am already a subscriber to your YouTube channel. After watching the video, I would say my favorite way to try these products is when you added the Opal Magic to the water spritzer. Genius and now on my to do list. Awesome sauce!
ReplyDeleteI love the convenience of the spray. Everything is beautiful and completely different.
