Dream Big!

Dear Friends...
If you need some creative springtime energy, here's Elena sharing her new mixed media canvas.
Who wouldn't like to have such a beauty at home?! Lovely Elena made a video tutorial so we hope you will feel inspired and Dream Big with us!

Hello, friends!
I love this time of year - the sun is shining, the birds are chirping... All of this gives me an even greater desire to create!

Today I am here to share my new canvas and a start-to-finish video tutorial.

The spring inspired me to create something light, airy, full of butterflies and still use some of my favorite mixed-media techniques.

First, I covered the papers with the Clear Gesso. I was going to be working with paints and water and I wanted to preserve the papers and the prints on them. I like how fast the clear gesso is drying.
I adhered all the elements, but the lace, with glue. The lace was adhered with White Gesso to get some interesting effects after it was painted.
When all the elements were in place, it was time to add some White Crackle Paste. I made a thick layer of it in a few places and let it air dry.
I painted the words with the new Prima Color Bloom Spray.

When the Crackle Paster was dry, it was time to start adding paints, colors, and all the accents!

This time I used Watercolor Pencils with a Watercolor Brush Pen. It's very easy and enjoyable! You really need to try this technique out!
Finally, I added some 3D Gel mixed with Micro Beads and Glass Glitter in a few places.

That's it, my inspirational canvas is ready!

Enjoy the video!
