No Winter Lasts Forever

Happy Monday, Everyone!
Together with Elena we are starting a new week with a beautiful mixed media project!
Enjoy all the delicious the textures and colors - we hope you'll feel inspired to create your own journal cover.

Hi, Friends!
Glad to see you here, I hope you had a great weekend!
Today, I'd like to show you my new mixed media notebook.
I was inspired to create a notebook cover and play with its fabric texture and Finnabair's Crackle Paste from Art Extravagance line.

The fabric on the cover of my notebook was quite soft so I decided to make it more sturdy gluing it to two pieces of cardboard and additionally covering it with Clear Gesso which also made it ready for all the media I was going to use.

I chose Crackle Paste in white and after applying a generous layer, I decided to leave it to air dry. I think it's the best method to get some really nice cracks.
I sealed everything with Soft Matte Gel - it prevents larger pieces from falling off. This Gel also served me as glue to adhere all my embellishments (including some wonderful Art Ingredients).

Then, it was time for some nice bright and juicy colors - I decided to play with Ecoline paints that beautifully react with water.

The finishing touches of a little bit of White Gesso here and there, some freehand stamping and a delicate accent of Vintaj Patina.

And here is the start to finish video tutorial for this notebook. Enjoy!
