Because I Can !

Hi there, friends!
Have you ever come across people asking you about your creative outlet (whatever it is): WHY you're doing it?
My answer couldn't be more simple: Because I can! :)
And today I'd like to show you a layout expressing exactly this idea.


Pure joy of having my hands dirty with paints and a desk drowning in paper. ;)
And this is why I'd like to invite you to join in as this piece is a sneak peak of my brand new class called Colorogy.



This class will premiere in Oslo, Norway in April and then I'll be teaching it in the Netherlands in May.

The main idea in this piece is to play with colors, stamps and some nice rich layering with scraps of paper. Here I had a blast with new Wendy Vecchi Archival Inks in nice warm colors, LuminArte pigments that I turned into sprays, a bit of Sizzix magic, my beloved black pencil, Indian ink and some metal embellishments with a subtle cover of paint.

    Love that saying! It reminds me of my daughter who always said so when she was a little girl, exploring the world... and things didn´t always go so well and I asked her... Why are you doing like that? And she always answered... " Because I can". So we use that saying in many ways here at home ;). And by the way... love that layout.. but I love everything you do =D.     I so love how you get so much colors, layers, textiles, metals, and textures on your art and it always looks so splashed, and dripped yet it always works and goes together beautifully. And YAY!!!! Only one more day to actually get to see you in action and take your class.

    That's a good answer. I hear a lot of peaple asking when to do something better with my life, get a "real" job and so on. That's frustrating too.
