There is a time when you simply have to do "SOMETHING" or you'll die in creative pain suffocated with things that want to come out or your head will explode leaving a hard to remove stain on the wall. No matter how much time and effort it takes, you simply just have to do it. So here it is. My new baby.
You can see the color palette changed a bit - this time the plan was for rich greens with a hint of blue and orange - and I guess I need to fight for this orange more next time. Whatever I do I get surprisingly close to blue. Again - my try to show the light and shadow - more in light, warm colors this time. Maybe it is my latest love to emerald green?
Of course on this point I could talk a lot about the inspirations...but what I would love to hear is your voice about it. What can you see in it? What is this all about? Please share if you can - this is the deepest pleasure for me to read your interpretations!
More details of the project - it is hard to make a photo of it, but I did my best in these shitty weather conditions we have now in Warsaw ;/
This huge piece of painted rubbish could only come to life with a huge help of my amazing friends, fans and companies from all over the world. Huge thanks to: Linda Brun, Drycha, France Papillon, Rae Cooper, Wendy Vecchi, Gloria Alexander and my lovely students from Warszawa, Vienna and Florida. Thanks to your gifts, shared collections and open hearts. Thanks to you I can create freely - you are just the best, guys!
Special thanks to Prima Marketing - for the best flowers ever made and Luminarte - for possiblility to play with the most amazing color palette ever (Primary Elements and Silks ROCK!!!)!
Other supplies: Ranger: gesso, Dylussion Sprays, Colorwash sprays, Glossy Accents. Tim Holtz: Frozen Charlotte doll, masks - Crafters Workshop, heavy gel medium, black acrylic paint.
Ok, I did it. I did it for pleasure and now I'm insanely happy to have it. Time to let another one go out?

What can I say that I have not said in the past!! fantastic, stunning work as always. Your work needs no words to express it. I will tell you how it makes me feel though. The balance between light and darkness is amazing although this one is much more bright than the other ones you've made. It feels as if there's a change within you. I love the square metal elements. It reminds me of a queen from Thailand standing on her throne playing a guitar. The other collages were a window to your soul. This is an ode to music!!
ReplyDeleteWOW!This made my jaw drop! Congratulations on another stunning piece of art. It reminds me of a steam punk Geisha girl rising from the darkness into the light. Maybe she is glowing in the light of true love. Her heart pounding with excitement and thoughts of wonderful possibilities ;)
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteTruly fabulous ! You look like a queen. The little doll and the heart on your belly make me think of a baby. And you said so, this canvas is your new baby... Love all these squares, like Little doors and windows waiting to be opened. Love the light spreading through your crown, and the shadows of light on the squares. There are so many details... this is really amazing !
ReplyDeleteWOW WOW WOW .... truly stunning art Anna. You rock girl:) xx
ReplyDeleteyour artistic universe knows no bounderies and you take us all on a voyage through that universe with each piece you create.
ReplyDeleteThe background on this one reminds me of that univers of yours and the piece, to me, feels extremely balanced, even with all that is going on.
Most of all, you look gorgeous on this one!
titibear hug
ps: already started a new treasure box for next year ;)
jesteś wielka :) to jest dzieło sztuki :):):)
ReplyDeleteThank you. Reading your opinions and interpretations makes me truly inspired... It is amazing how you keep bringing up more and more stories to life...
ReplyDeleteNiewiarygodnie cudne!!! Zachłannie "wyczytałam" każdy detal. Chociaż chyba z daleka dopiero dostrzegłam, że to jest Lady Art. Nieco szalona, dostojna, rozpromieniona, spontanicznie poczochrana, pełna pomysłow, kolorów i muzyki wokół, wchodzi drzwiami i oknami do wielu...trafia.
ReplyDeleteNiewiarygodnie cudna.
Hi Finnabair!
ReplyDeleteIt is stunning! Love all of your squares that looks like they want to pop up and show secrets! And I love all the metallic and old industrial feeling it gives me. It shines and sparks! hugs Lotta
Just stunning... I can look away from this and come back and see new things over and over. So many fantastic details!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS work Ania
ReplyDeleteI straight away thought of a grungy geisha and her secret garden of treasurs...some in the half light and others covered but visible if you searched for them. OMG you got to play with silks...I covert those LOL. Well done indeed!
hugs

WOW, this is AWESOME... you totally rock!
ReplyDeleteAmazing play of light and shadow...makes me think of a mythical female emerging from structure or out of the motherboard on the computer, or city blocks... Definitely a play between organic and inorganic shapes. Thanks for sharing your off the charts creativity!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely mind-blowing. Stunning. Brilliant. SO many layers of texture, every time I look I see something new. Astounding detail. Love the contrast of dark and light. Perfect balance. In other words.... I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteWords can't describe how beautiful this is, your a genius Finn!!
ReplyDeleteTrès Joli .On dirait une princesse qui joue de la guitare et qui vient de trouver la clé du bonheur elle sourit à la vie, devant tous ses trésors , ça me donne envie ..!... Bonne nuit , Bisous.Anita F.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful! Love your color combos. I wish you'd come to Massachusetts to teach some classes!!
ReplyDeleteMissing Ireland?
ReplyDeleteI adore the more intricate background on this one, the squares create a carpet that joins the two sides.
Beautiful!

OMG, OMG, OMG just gorgeous. This might replace my other favorites as number one. the only thing I can interpret is that it is so unique and special. When I first glanced I thought you were made up like a geisha. still waiting for you to come to the east coast!!!
ReplyDeleteTo me, this is a very regal portrait. She looks to me as if she is emerging from all of the disparate elements, and as she does so, she very carefully selects those pieces in which she wishes to adorn herself and her crown. I love that her heart (or where I imagine her heart would anatomically be) has wings and is free, and at the same time it appears as if she is holding her figurative heart very close to her. So one part of her is free to be out in the world, and another part of her is being protected. Sorry so long. xoxo
ReplyDeleteJesteś genialna :) Mnóstwo wspaniałej treści w wielu niesamowitych szczegółach... Co za kolory!!!
ReplyDeleteLove that subtle contrasting colouring on the applied details!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am sure Gustav Klimt would have loved your creation too!
Hugs,
die amelie x
tout simplement!!!!!!! magnifique!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAs others said before, a truly stunning piece of art, - it took my breath away. So glad you found the time to create just for you! There is something of a strong Egyptian goddess in this piece for me, maybe these aged patina overtones, that keep coming through with the orange? To me this is the embodiment of your creative muse! Please keep her alive despite all the workshops and travel.
ReplyDeleteniesamowita praca !!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnna what can I say, I'm totally blown away by this canvas, I bet it weighs a ton too! I love the way you recycle computer parts, can't quite believe you've actually stuck a CPU cooler on there too! Awesome imagination. The mosaic tiling in the background is exquisite and gives the canvas so much depth and texture. When I look at your face with all the embellishments around it, it makes me think of the snow queen from the Chronicles of Narnia. I would love to see and touch this in real life I bet it's even more gorgeous in the flesh! Not only do I love the white highlights on the tiling, but I really love all the rich copper, blues, greens and gold. It's an absolute feast for the eyes! Thank you so much for being so wonderfully creative. Michelle x
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing, i love the textures and colours. I could spend hours looking at it :)
ReplyDeleteThis is simply amazing, so many details to admire. I'm a real backgrounds girl and would love to know how you created all those base layers xx
ReplyDeleteSpectacular!!! It's so amazing and detailed!
ReplyDeletec'est absolument merveilleux, tu es une grande artiste.
ReplyDeleteLiliane
Your work is breathtaking Anna. I simply love the way you cluster all these fine details and objects. You have such an eye for colors and design. Since I met you I knew you were something special and this confirms my beliefs. I am so lucky I had the chance to meet you. Cannot wait to meet again!
ReplyDeleteHugs! Frank
This is just AMAZINGLY beautiful! Just cannot get over it! Can stop studying it! WOW!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the most beautiful pieces of art, I have ever seen. I cannot imagine anyone else able to put all of these elements together, and have it turn into something this lovely. Your Art, is truly a wonder.
ReplyDeleteniesamowite wrażenie robi . rwie oczy , wbija w fotel. Wspaniała robota!
ReplyDeleteYou are inspiration incarnate! Love all the layers, textures, and colors. You breathed life into this canvas......is she a Sea Goddess or Medussa??? Love the symbolism with all the ideas coming out of your head....Thank you! I feel blessed to have met you in San jose.
ReplyDeleteWhen I have seen it, I have thought of Klimt's huge figurs like in The kiss or in The hug. The bodies hidden behind those big tunics...
ReplyDeleteIt's an amazing work. Breathtaking Would love to see it IRL.
It's a pity I cannot assist to your next workshops in Paris. Places were taken in hours! I was one day late :(
Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAna, there are classes coming in June, near Paris too - maybe you'll attend? :)
Sure!!!
DeleteFinn. Jesteś dla mnie mistrzynią świata. Amen :)
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing - best thing I've ever seen!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first looked at it, I didn't see a heart, I saw a guitar. And you look like a rock star. That's my interpretation; maybe because beautiful music (listening to Walls by Tiesto as I type this) takes me to a place that I see in your photo and on this canvas. PS: your work is always amazing.
ReplyDeleteWaow! Waow! Waow! No words to describe how beautiful your canvas is. I love the luminosity in the middle, and all these small parts you used. I don't even want to imagine the time you spent on this canvas!
ReplyDeleteOMG. Pick jaw up from floor. This is amazing.
ReplyDeleteOh my. I am blown away. First thing I noticed is the beautiful colors, then the depth of the design, and finally, the direction of light that brought your design to life. This is a work of art. I I wish you could walk us through how you created it.
ReplyDeleteOh my god!! Finnabair!! this piece of art is just stunning! I am so in love with all the details here! It is so beautiful.
