Together by Svetlana

Hi friends! I'm glad to see you! Today I want to show you how easy and simple it is to make a sharp turn in the art journal. So, ladies and gentlemen, get ready for the magic!

First, take an old unnecessary book or any art journal. So the paper does not absorb wet media and paint, cover it with gesso (I took white). For an interesting texture, I applied some crackle paste. Wait till everything is dry and with the help of liquid acrylic paints make color reversal - you can wet a brush or spray water. Using a stencil and icing paste, I made some beautiful and bright accents.

When the icing paste dried, I took two different stamps and made some prints. The 7 Dots Studio  Cold Country collection has a sheet with vintage photos of beautiful ones, I took two and accentuated them, added lace and gauze, some beads and microbe.

I glued the whole decor paper with soft gloss gel - it's great for gluing down small great decors, I love it! This gel never turns yellow after drying and does not become cloudy or sticky, so I often use it for gluing small parts. To complete the work I took a bit of white liquid acrylic paint and brushed a little. It turned out wow-effect!

Thank you for your attention! Hugging you!

Guest Designer - Svetafka

We are very happy to have Svetafka today as our Guest Designer. She has won a contest organized on Instagram called "Transformation" and one of the prizes was being featured on our blog. So without any long introduction, here she is!!! Svetafka!!!

Hello everyone!
My name is Svetlana Ignatyeva (Svetafka). I am from Russia, Moscow.

I like to travel. There are places where you feel that the earth's end is here. Only water and wind are ahead.
You are impressed by the elements and feel an inexplicable delight from everything that happens.

Such feelings arise when I am near any lighthouse. This is my magical place. The wind blows all unnecessary thoughts out of my head, leaving only meaning.

I have chosen 2 products from August Art Recipe. It is Gesso and Art Pebbles. To create my canvas, I took a piece of cardboard, and I covered it with Finnabair White Heavy Gesso twice.

I made a bit of texture using Finnabair Stencil - Iris Tapestry and Finnabair Texture Paste - White Sand.

Having placed the photo into Prima Memory Hardware Parisian Arch Shutters, I lifted it onto several layers of cardboard. Thus, the edges of the base of the shutters became invisible and a place for decor appeared.

I used lots of Art Alchemy Metallique and Sparks colours of Paints and also Texture Fantasy Paste (all supplies are listed below). They helped me to create rocks, sand and the pouring sea. I mixed colors for transitions.

I added some embossing using Prima Clear Stamp - Gothic Book , a few clay figures from Finnabair Mould - Stars and Moons and Fairy Garden, some lace, chipboard pieces, Kora Projects die cuts and flowers.

Diamond Art Pebbles are like a water drops and toppings at the end.

The word stickers comes from 7 dots studio.

Have a nice trip to interesting places.

See you!
