Artist Bag by Svetlana Lipnitskaya

Hello dears! Today I am with you, Svetlana Lipnitskaya and I will show you how I decorated the bag!

I have an artist bag. It has a lot of pockets, a convenient tablet and some special cells where you can place a lot of brushes and pencils. But it's dull brown. I wanted to make the bag beautiful, but that it remained functional and can be worn in any weather on the street.

First, using transparent gesso I covered that part of the bag that I wanted to decorate. Then using stencils I applied the ice paste and new paste with nuggets of gold. I covered Chipboard with some paste with the effect of rust. I glued all metal decors, chipboard pieces and melange with heavy body gel. It glued everything perfectly! It is impossible to tear off!

So that the rain could not make my decorative elements on the bag wet, I covered everything with 3D gloss gel. It will protect the decor from moisture and dirt. Then I applied the waxes in a chaotic manner - it gave the bag a vintage and aged look. I hope my bag inspired you and you are already thinking about your project :) Give a second life to your old favorite bag!
Have a nice day!

Recycled keepsake cover by Bipasha

Hello wonderful crafters,
Today I am going to share a beautiful project which I am sure you all can easily create with just a couple of Finnabair's gorgeous products. Have you ever thought of recycling Finnabair's metal embellishments' packings or the embossed plastic card that comes within? I have been hoarding the hinged plastic packaging of Finnabair's metal embellishment for years to give them a magical makeover. They are perfect to create a recycled stylish envelope for a letter/ or tags/ or even mini notes!

I have gessoed one of the packaging with heavy black gesso to prime it for the next layers. Finnabair gesso are great for base coatings and creating subtle textures with dabbing brushstrokes. Next, I added some white gesso along with a few drops of Liquid acrylics in ultramarine, emerald. I sprayed some water to blend in the concentrated colours, dryng with a heatgun inbetween to lock the random waves created with each water spray- these medium gives the most amazing blend and waves in different shades of the same colour when we vary the amount of water. Next I coloured my embellishment with black gesso and layered everything with 3D gel, it has a firm hold when it comes to holding dimensional embellishment. Once done, I added some tiger orange liquid acrylic to create the rust effect followed by highlighting the details with the new firebird wax. These new colours are my fave and its just a breeze to turn any project into a masterpiece with a slight rub of these. Finally, I added some splatters of Metallique brass and finished the project with a vintage photo and a quote!

I have recorded the process of creating this beautiful piece, hope you are inspired and excited to recycle your old packings with the beautiful colour mediums and wax of the new release.

Happy crafting,
Bipasha

Chocolate box by Aleksandra Mihelic

Hi dear Finnabair friends and fans. It's my turn to inspire you again and I'm so happy to be here with you today.

I've had this project in my mind for some time now and I felt it finally was time to make it happen. I feel it was the perfect way to share with you and show you around all the new amazing products that were released in past weeks.

I've altered one of my Chocolate boxes and I've hidden a real treasure inside. Come and take a look. :)

"Life is like a Box of Chocolates..." You will taste sweetness, bitterness, happiness and sadness. Embrace them all, as every single taste is giving you a different experience and an opportunity to grow. Rise above them all and move fiercely and bravely to the person you want to become and with each experience a step closer to goals you want to achieve.

I've first covered everything with two coats of black gesso. I then added some sisal and wooden fibers into the little spots inside the box, colored with black gesso and various Art Alchemy paints, then added some Mechanicals - metal embellishments and some embellishments made with newly released Finnabair moulds. I then covered everything with two basic colors of new Finnabair waxes - Electric Violet and Old Denim. I highlighted it with new Firebird wax, one of my favourite. I repeated the process on the lid of the box.

I've also prepared a video tutorial for you, so you can try to make your own box.

I hope you enjoyed my inspiration today, get inspired to do some amazing projects this weekend and maybe learned something new along the way.

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
Hugs, Aleksandra
