Enjoy the morning

Hello my friends,
There is a beauty in mixed-media projects - you can use as many or as few supplies, as you wish and the final effect could be outstanding. Just like Olya's newest project - mixed media frame. There is a step-by-step video where you can watch, how Olya created this beautiful frame.

Hello there lovely creative friends!
Today I'd like to share with you my brand new inspiration - a mixed media frame.

Of course I found my inspiration in the new delicious materials from Finnabair and my morning was wonderful. It was these emotions that I wanted to show in my project! My project is light and fresh.
I took a wooden frame and covered it with my beloved Heavy Gesso - White and White Crackle Texture Paste.

And you've already seen new amazing colors of pastes. I'm just in love with them! And for my project I chose Texture Fantasy - Junkyard Treasures. I covered the chipboard with two colors and I the effect is wonderful! There's such a beautiful texture! Also, I added the color and texture to the metallic element - Mechanicals - Clocks.

Then I added the colors to my frame with acrylic paints. I used new Art Alchemy - Opal Magic. They mix with water perfectly and leave a very beautiful shade and overflow!
Then I added a bit of texture using interesting stamps from the set Cling Stamps - Dirty Walls and embossing powder.
When my background was ready I began to create a composition. There are chipboard pieces, embellishments made with moulds and flowers from Prima and Mechanicals elements. As you can see, for my decor you do not need many items at all. But they are all beautiful!

When the composition is ready I add a few shadows and shine to the elements. I use Acrylic Paints.
And in the end, of course, I add chic and favorite Art Ingredients. There are Art Stones and Glass Glitter and Glitter set. I use Soft Matte Gel to glue them. It becomes completely clear when it dries and only beautiful topping remains! I would not change a thing.

As you can see, you do not need much for a beautiful project, the main thing is high-quality and best materials and you can always find them from Finnabar!

I invite you to watch my video tutorial to see the whole process of creating my project. Enjoy!

I really hope that I was able to inspire you!

Be inspired by the new materials because they are simply amazing! Create simple things but put your heart in them. Then you will be unique.  Remember that you are beautiful and everything that you create will be beautiful!

With love, Olya.

A woman with umbrella

Hello dear fellow scrappers,
Creativity takes courage - brilliant message brought to us today by Marta Turska! It takes courage to use also objects, that are not meant to be creative material, like a packaging from my Mechanicals and turn it into a piece of art!

Hello friends!
Today I have something special for you - altered tag (a piece of Finnabair Mechanicals package), which I decorated in mixed media style!

I used colors of sand and gold to make a perfect match with vintage lady from the beach (look at this amazing outfit!). I used some special Finnabair products to create lovely texture and magical colors.

First of all, I used some paper elements, washi tape and fabric plaster to prepare my background. I covered it with a layer of white gesso and I used a heating tool. Later on I used my favorite harlequin stencil with light paste to create some texture and pattern. I painted chipboard pieces with lovely golden acrylic paint and I used them as the element of my composition.

I added a few different shades of rust paste, I started from the lightest one and I added a bit of brown and yellow and mixed it with the lightest one again. It helped me to achieve light, airy, mixed layer of colors.

I used chipboard pieces and a paper tag to build my composition, where I placed a vintage - umbrella lady. I used some rust pastes again here and there to accent the lady's figure. I added sentence stickers, some copper micro beads, some accents with metallique wax (it added a bit of shine and dimension to my project).

A few golden paint splashes and a few vintage art pebbles were a cherry on top!

My project reminds me of golden warm days of summer.

I love to mix Finnabair products to play with them, to achieve brand new colors and new possibilities.

Have a great day,
Marta

For succulent lovers

Hello lovely people,
We all have friends or special people, that we would like to treat with something unique. Bipasha had a great idea - she prepared amazing gift for her friend using Finnabair's Mechanicals and newest Fantasy Texture Pastes. If you need an inspiration, please watch her video tutorial.

Hello wonderful people! I have a special project to share with you today. I created this project as a gift for my friend. She has a mini garden and is a lover of succulents, so I thought that a French style inspired Garden decor plate would be an apt for her little garden.

From the time, Finnabair's spring collection was launched I have been craving to mix and match them with the Rust pastes (my all time faves!). I started with a gessoed blank wooden plate and adorned it with paper clay mold designs (using 3D matte gel as adhesive). Next, I carefully primed everything with another gesso layer and added a mix of 3D Matte Gel + Art stones in the nooks & cracks to blend in it into one piece. I used photo transfer technique with a print out from computer and used 3D matte gel. Once dried thoroughly, I added shades from Prima - Art Extravagance - Texture Fantasy - Junkyard Treasures & Northern lights with Prima - Art Extravagance - Rust Effect Paste - Camouflage. I used the darker shades as base and the lighter ones to contour and highlight. These pastes are textured and are of varying consistency and are perfect to create real-rust effects.

Once I was happy with the colours, I added some mechanical hearts.

I am very happy with the way it turned out and am so looking forward to experiment more with all the beautiful colours and combinations from Texture Fantasy and Rusts pastes line, but till then this combination is going to be my current favourite. With its colour options and versatility, I am sure you will fall in love with this product.

Happy crafting,
Bipasha
