Flaming Heart in Pink

Hi, how was your week?
I was so happy to see so many of you on my FB Page during the FB Live yesterday - I so appreciate your support and encouragement! I hope you got inspired to create for the next days...and if you didn't see the recording yet, you can easily find it here. I will, of course, try to edit it and add to my YT channel and to this blog as well so it will be easy to find it in the future - just give me some time to go through it, ok?

In the meantime I wanted you to see one of the projects I've made during my classes. What I love in this take on the "Flaming Heart" triptych is organic, very intriguing beauty caused by the placement details and my selection of the colours... just have a look!

Don't you think this heart, surrounded by Art Pebbles and Mechanicals looks somehow, very real? There is something haunting about how the shades of pink underline the mesmerising, yet a bit unsettling texture of the Art Stones. If you will have a closer look you may get what I mean...
I'm absolutely in love with the clusters as a way of organizing my elements on the project. Quite naturally all my found treasures and embellishments tend to get placed in tight, multilayered groups - and so far the best way to make them stay there forever is using Art Basics Heavy Body Gel - or any of its cousins: Modeling Paste or 3D Gel. They all dry flexible and have a great hold, however, the Heavy Body Gel has the strongest grip and the thickest consistency so it is my favourite. Please note Modeling Paste is not drying transparent as the gels - but white instead!
Finally, it is crucial to make sure after painting that your details are easily visible, even from a distance - the canvas will go on the wall or shelf, so it's important to see all your treasures even there! The solution may be adding highlights with metallic paints (for example - Art Alchemy Metallique range from my line of products) or just like you can see here - Metallique Waxes, which are just delicious in colours and so easy to apply with your fingers or dabbing brush!

I'm planning to leave this treasure in my private collection - I like it so much it has to go on a wall somewhere in my Studio or in the house... I hope you like it too and some of my tips will be helpful in your future mixed-media projects!
Sending huge hugs to you all - happy creating!

WOW!!!!! this is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I LOVE everything about it. So beautiful, the colors are my favorite, I am so glad that you are loving pink again (I remember from one of my classes with you when I asked advice on what colors to use and I wanted to use pink - you had me go out of my comfort zone to use other colors as you said pink was not your favorite)

Absolutely love it, but have not been able to find the flaming heart anywhere. I am in Australia & have tried different sites online.
